That aint gonna happen till we shoot the fat Spanish waitor and employ a manager who is not playing snakes and ladders when he should be playing chess. Maybe just maybe we will find a cliff to fling him off once this torrid season has finished.

Thirty-nine goals in all competitions. I just pray that he continues to ride the many tackle attempts and shake off the hacks that a player of his ability suffers. The greatest footballer I've ever witnessed. Just hoping I am able to score seats through the FCB ticket draw for either halve final leg .

2nd? I take it he'll only become number 1 if he rugby catches the ball and carries it over the England goal line and is awarded a goal? Or maybe needing to score a hat trick doing this? 8-)

i believe the same..maradona number 1 .mesi is too young yet for put him even in number 2...
number 2 for me with a very small difference from maradona is ZINTAN..
    3rd Pele
    4th Ronaldo(the brazilian-not kristiano)

Simply the best in the past 20 years.Potentially the best ever.
Made Arsenal look very very ordinary, how we laughed
Saw him against my team Dundee United in a pre-season friendly a couple of years back.Thought we were doing well to hold them 1-1 at half-time :) .Second half brought on Messi, dont think we touched the ball again.Barca won 5-1,hat-trick from Messi  . Just awesome!

Messi needs to win the world cup (shining as the star of the argentinian side) to be considered the best of all time. The fact that hes only 22 contributes instead of detracting merit, so much more ahead for him .

I think Diego's putting the shackles on him just so he can hang on to being the best modern player and not let young Leo take over the mantle just yet.

Well something's got to explain why he's as ineffective as he is in the blue and white during the qualifiers.

That, and not having Xavi and Iniesta feed him all those delicious passes.

He's 22 and probably has maybe 4 WC he can play in. Argentina has a lot of talent and I'm sure they're going to do some damage in 1 of the WC. Messi WILL be the BEST of ALL-TIME when it's finally settled....but imagine in 20 years who we'll be talking about as being BETTER than Messi??? Viska El Barca!!! 8-)

Yep Maradona is the best ever. Messi is by far the best playing the game at the moment.

    He´s the best!

And not only is he very good at what he does; he seems to be a very down-to-earth kind of kid. Listen to his interviews. There is no comparison with other players that have the priviledge to be compared with this fella, technically, talently, humanly, speaking. Period.

The cule´s are gonna have real madrid for dinner this saturday!
