Superunknown gets so much hype, Badmotorfinger craps all over it, SU drags on a bit if you ask me.
i know all the 'real' Soundgarden fans like Badmotorfinger, but im not a real fan, hahah. too much sludgy crap on their early albums to me.

Jesus Christ Pose is great though.

I saw someone on Facebook reply to a friends status about Lollapalooza with something about how "Soundgarden hasn't headlined anything since like 1996" and he was not being sarcastic. I didnt say anything, but of course I wanted to say something like, "maybe thats because they broke up in 1997 you jackass."
i think given SG's history with Lolla, they make a good headliner. i wonder if they would be a headliner anywhere else though. seems closer to a second tier type band or something.

    not that it matters.

Well, personally I really respect the early stuff as well, especially Louder Than Love. Each and every album released after this one was just classic and a lot better than any Audioslave record (which I also really like)

So I've read that the show was amazing and surpassed the "hype". My all time favorite hard-rock band and I couldn't be more pumped about it.

Got to say that I miss the old PJ board that had a ton of SG fans and threads about Cornell and the band. They were the most popular threads in Other Music and there were haters and some odd PJ fans that feel threatened by SG's popularity within PJ's fans... Now it seems that were only left with a few of that negative group "they're too hard, they're too sludgy, bla bla, my vagina hurt"... jeez
Twenty-ten watch it go to fire!!!

i could see soundgarden playing ampitheatres; especially if the rumoured tour is going to be in the late summer/fall.

I am beginning to wonder if they are gonna be an ACL headliner this year?? If they tour in the fall (which is highly likely), I could see the Texas show being ACL.

Not a huge SG fan, but it would be cool to see them live.

Are all the songs from the show as painful to listen to as Pretty Noose?

Sorry, I havent really been following the SG news, but do they have an album planned or anything other than the Festival date?

    Nice! 8-)

I actually managed to get a rare tour shirt from the Badmotorfinger tour that has that repeated in a circle on the back.

Agreed on the being born too late. I'm a child of 1988, so I never got to see them as I didn't really discover Soundgarden until I was about 15.
