this is a great example of govermental control, I don't know what is true or false about nobama
but this e-mail I recieved is kind of interesting.

    Godfather.

I THINK IT IS REMARKABLE THAT WITHIN A WEEK OF TIGER WOODS CRASHING HIS
ESCALADE, THE PRESS FOUND EVERY WOMAN WITH WHOM TIGER HAS HAD AN AFFAIR
IN THE LAST FEW YEARS, WITH PHOTOS, TEXT MESSAGES, RECORDED PHONE CALLS, ETC.

AND, THEY NOT ONLY KNOW THE CAUSE OF THE FAMILY FIGHT, BUT THEY EVEN KNOW IT
WAS A WEDGE FROM HIS GOLF BAG THAT HIS WIFE USED TO BREAK OUT THE WINDOWS
IN THE ESCALADE. NOT ONLY THAT, THEY KNOW WHICH WEDGE!

AND EACH AND EVER DAY, THEY GIVE AMERICA MORE UPDATES ON HIS SEX-REHAB STAY,
HIS WIFE'S PLANS FOR DIVORCE, AND HIS PLANS TO RETURN TO THE PRO-GOLF CIRCUIT.

OBAMA HAS BEEN IN OFFICE FOR OVER A YEAR NOW, AND THIS SAME PRESS STILL
CANNOT LOCATE OBAMA'S OFFICIAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE, OR ANY OF HIS PAPERS WHILE
IN COLLEGE, OR HOW HE PAID FOR A HARVARD EDUCATION, OR WHICH COUNTRY
ISSUED HIS VISA TO TRAVEL TO PAKISTAN IN THE 1980'S AS BARRY SORETORO AND
EVEN MICHELLE OBAMA'S PRINCETON THESIS ON RACISIM. IT JUST CAN'T BE FOUND?

YET THE PUBLIC STILL TRUSTS THAT SAME PRESS TO GIVE THEM
THE WHOLE TRUTH . . . TRULY REMARKABLE!

Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined

4 times the debt that bush created and yet Obama has only been in office 14 months and unemployment is still at just below 10 % actually it's more when you factor in the people that can only find part time work.

Again, someone forgot about the last guy in office. Not to mention that Obama wouldn't have had to spend for stimulus had the previous tenant not trashed the place.

Yet you seem to forget who has had control of both houses for the last 4 years.

The only point you made is that you are in complete denial that this president is a complete disaster and is doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

girls who like fame and being in the spotlight isn't the same thing as a birth certificate. and even if obama wasn't born in the us who cares? he spent most of his life here. and for those that say you have to be a natural born us citizen what do you expect happen if he were born elsewhere because mccain was porn in panama

    what papers can't anyone locate?

what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?

Did you do a comparison? Check Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama and see how similar they trended. Heck, compare George W Bush and Barack Obama, and notice the exact same trend until 9/11 when Bush got a huge bump.
(Also you DID look at George W Bush's numbers when he left office, right?)

Besides, this whole business of comparing approval ratings of Presidents past and present doesn't really do much. After all, George W Bush got a huge, huge bump right after 9/11 and slowly tanked to one of the lowest ever. His father came out of a really great performance after the first Iraq war only to tank before losing to Bill Clinton.

It's more illustrative to compare the President to his current peers in Congress. Notice the generally high disapproval ratings across the board, yet the President does the best, followed by - shockers! - Nancy Pelosi, and Congressional Democrats, then Harry Reid. The GOP brings up the rear.

Yes, Bush signed the massive TARP package in 2008 after getting huge bipartisan support, but you forget that the biggest chunk of the debt was rung up by Bush with his 2 unfunded wars, the massive tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires, Medicare Part D. And guess who was in control of the White House and both houses of Congress all those years? Oh right... the GOP.
The only point you made is that you are in complete denial that this president is a complete disaster and is doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

A complete disaster? Really? He's accomplished far more in his first year than any President in recent history. Where the hell do YOU get off making such a blanket, unfounded, asinine statement?

Seriously, you can't even bring up facts to defend your outlandish statements and you consistenfly find yourself being trashed by half the people here without really even trying.
I submit that it's YOU who doesn't know what he's talking about.

You know there are safeguards in place to protect just anyone from getting your birth certificate. It has to be requested by either you or your parents who are listed on it.

I am glad that not just any bozo can go and pick up my birth certificate

any of his papers while in college? that is just bizarre, he lead the law review... I am sure if the media cared there is plenty of stuff out there from his college days

I don't know Pepe, I am no onama fan but this kind of thing is what happens with every president, there is always somebody looking for dirt and as a old friend said "if you look hard enough you'll find some"
and it don't have to be true to get people to believe it, seed's of evil grow fast.

Couldn't agree more about the idea that approval ratings are not the only thing we should go by to judge a president in his first few years of office. Obama has had to deal with a lot of things in his first year + in office and I give him credit for remaining positive in the face of it all. It certainly is not a job I would want. I think as this first term rounds out and we start to see the effects of his policies that we can really judge his performance.
As far as the article the GODFATHER posted. . .i have to agree that people are getting more involved in politics. He is right in saying that people are starting to pay more attention, but makes the mistake of thinking it is just people who disagree, at least that is what I get out of it. The people who disagree right now seem to be getting more press, but in the end I hope we get a more politically active America, no matter the side of the fence that you sit. Obama's next campaign will definitely bring more people out than ever before, both on his side and the other and that is always a good thing.

Perfectly. We're better off as a country when everyone's involved.

One of the most shocking things I found out over the last few years was that when Arnold Schwarzenegger became governor of California in the aftermath of the recall election that ousted Gray Davis, he got just under 25% of the vote. It was a moment of awakening for me. Not that I had any love for Davis - he was too cozy with the Prison industry for instance - but to think that a governor got elected with 25% of the vote just seemed absolutely undemocratic to me.

Obama got the left energized in 2008, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a re-emergence of the right in 2010.

However, I simply disdain the horrible, ugly hatred that's starting to bubble to the surface. We need honest, reasoned, debate in the political process AND in the Republican party. While I disagreed with the great conservative stalwart William F. Buckley Jr. most of the time, to his credit he cast out the extremist John Birch society from polite conservative circles back in the day, fully realizing that we can't have such a dialogue as long as extremists were allowed in the mix. Nowadays, the John Birch society is back, and Buckley's son Christopher found himself expelled from the National Review, the magazine that the elder Buckley founded, for daring to speak against the insanity.

I never thought I would say this, but I miss the old man.

Yeah, it is sad that a party cannot even have thoughtful debate within itself. I just wish that everyone would realize that even though the view of exactly what America should be is different, lots of people actually think they have the best interest of the country at heart. No one, both democrat and republican, wants it to fail.
