damn, brisso 2 second worst show????

i thought that thing was epic. but i did have a pretty good fucking night so my judgement might be a little bias.

yeh fish - you had a fair old spot and gained some goodies along the way, didnt you? me and judd were standin right behind ya from memory! how was that wierdo bloke in 1st row next to you with no shirt on... sitting down all night.. lookin at the crowd and playin with his nipples? pretty sure that was bris2.

picture in a frame was nice. but night 1 had a far better setlist for my liking, and a more intense crowd.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.

ha ha, yeah he was brilliant. and the people on the other side of me got their tickets 3 days before the show, from ticketek. how the fuck do you get front row 3 days before the show???

but yeah, the crowd for night one was better, but i think that's mainly cause being surrounded by 10clubbers makes it more positive you know they are there for a good time and they at least have got albums released after vitology.

  • I was at both the Sydney 3 show and the Newcastle show...i thought sydney 3 killed newcastle! It just had way more energy. Sure the Newcastle setlist was cool but Sydney 3 was ooooozing energy. Best show ive ever seen.

  • I was in the front row right in front of Eddie for Sydney 3. I threw my towel at Eddie and copped him right on his melon. He ended up walking off with the towel still on his head. He ended up giving my wife his tamborine for my troubles!

Too damn right! Melbourne III for sure, underrated that is. Sad and Present Tense! Why Go? One of my all time favs. A great show, never forget it.

    Damn right x2!

The stars aligned for me that night, I was the guy in "row 7, maybe 10" with the "Sad" flag...

...'twas the most surreal few minutes of my concert-going life, and then to be followed up with quite possibly the best Present Tense sing-along ever - just incredible.

This was also the night that I took my lovely wife along, and almost miraculously they saved all 3 of her fav PJ songs for night 3 (Unemployable, Off He Goes and State of Love & Trust, though SOLAT got the Gus-treatment on night1 too :)).

If you haven't already, listen to this boot. Right from the opening notes of my now all-time favourite performance of Long Road, you won't be disappointed.

Agree with the comments about Syd3 > Newcastle, the energy is palpable on that boot, must have been awesome to have been there. I've since moved to Sydney so will have to do the Syd/Newy/Melb triple next tour :)

Sydney 3 was a cracker. Me and my bud were on the floor and we had a couple of friends in the stands and they said that floor just went beserk from the first song till the last. Sydney 1 was great just because it was the first time I'd seen the band in 3 years. Sydney 2 had a lame crowd but a awesome setlist. They seemed to have decided early on in the night to play to the faithful and because there were lame ducks either side of me I ended up with about 6 seats to dance around and go nuts in. And go nuts I did. Awesome Bootleg as well.

Definately making the trip Perth and everywhere else I can next time round.
I can't go the library anymore, everyone STINKS!!

I was the one who stood up on my chair right at the end of the concert, to piss off a security arsehole who'd earlier tried to kick me out for putting one foot over a line just so I could dance. The Melbourne security is just over the top, can't believe how ridiculous it is. But the concert was great!!

Yeah, they can be pricks at times. Not all bad though, one of my favourite memories of that night was seeing a guy who'd been told off by a female security guard for running to the front to stand in the isle, later dancing in the isle to RITFW with the same security guard - holding her hand and twirling her around! :D
