  • My parents introduced me to The Beatles (there was even a picture of John Lennon in my living room growing up), Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Dylan....
I constantly have music on in my house..probably because my parents always did. I have a soundtrack to my life from infancy on and for the last 17 years Pearl Jam have been the biggest part of my soundtrack.

If I knew where it was I would take you there. There's much more than this

thats awesome bro...my dad and I have seen all our shows together at MSG
we saw The Who in 2006, DMB on 9/10/08, and are seeing Neil Young & Wilco on 12/15/08.

I think I need to take him to a PJ show, but I'm not sure how he'll react.

  • mine too! my first show ever! i remember like yesterday, me finding out about pearl jam playing boston and how upset i was i wasn't part of the 10c when they wanted me to.. i was only 15 so i didn't join but right then and there i did. i was so so upset that i didnt get the password to get the tickets.. :( but that was when i didnt know you had to have been a member the previous day.. oh well, i'm a member now! i also remember how upset i was that i missed out on the 9/28 tickets, only to have them add another show! me, my best friend, and my parents were so far back but we didnt care! we brought our binoculars and rocked out! i cried when black came on! (can you tell i like that song? ;)) i remember not knowing most of the songs except for ten and vs and some other ones, but i didnt care, i was in the presence of my favorite band since i was 12! not only in the same vicinity, but in the same room! it was so surreal.. i was so happy, i proudly wore my fake skull shirt i got from the street to school the next monday, despite the fact my teacher hated pearl jam :D i also wear my blue patriot shirt that i got at that show every year on the anniversary that was one of the happiest days of my life!

THANK YOU PEARL JAM for making my life a whole lot brighter and for giving me the feeling of true happiness
    i had 10c seats ;):p
I will be what i could be

my dad once took me to a mexican donkey show ... which was cool of him... but i'll never look my mother in the face again.

    nice story DLT10 :):)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

I'm almost certain there were not 10c seats for that show :p

Wish my dad was cool like that. He tried to take me to see Wayne Newton when I was 16.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

    since my dad asked,

hey son, want to go see this band called Pearl Jam with me?

my life began at 12 years old that night.

    LONG LIVE PEARL JAM! :)

Hey man welcome to the board. Gr8 to see a young PJ fan, since so many teenagers go for that nu-metal crap, hip hop and rap rather than bands like PJ. I started liking them in 2002 and have never looked back. God I wish I'd known PJ earlier, I am such an afficionado of them. They are what makes me happy! My two children are also PJ fans, and my 14 year old daughter has been to see them with me twice now.
