    I gotta say it was about 4 years for me as well haha. I'm 21 now and they helped me out when I needed them most. I couldn't have stumbled upon a better drug

    Aw that's nice. I go see Irish bar bands with my dad. Lots of fun and he doesn't mind being the designated driver.

    I hope your dad isn't dropping the leash yet though...I'm glad my dad didn't drop mine at 16.

    I was 14 at the time, and had gotten really into Pearl Jam earlier that year. What a memorable night:)

    mine too! my first show ever! i remember like yesterday, me finding out about pearl jam playing boston and how upset i was i wasn't part of the 10c when they wanted me to.. i was only 15 so i didn't join but right then and there i did. i was so so upset that i didnt get the password to get the tickets.. :( but that was when i didnt know you had to have been a member the previous day.. oh well, i'm a member now! i also remember how upset i was that i missed out on the 9/28 tickets, only to have them add another show! me, my best friend, and my parents were so far back but we didnt care! we brought our binoculars and rocked out! i cried when black came on! (can you tell i like that song? ;)) i remember not knowing most of the songs except for ten and vs and some other ones, but i didnt care, i was in the presence of my favorite band since i was 12! not only in the same vicinity, but in the same room! it was so surreal.. i was so happy, i proudly wore my fake skull shirt i got from the street to school the next monday, despite the fact my teacher hated pearl jam :D i also wear my blue patriot shirt that i got at that show every year on the anniversary :) that was one of the happiest days of my life!

    THANK YOU PEARL JAM for making my life a whole lot brighter and for giving me the feeling of true happiness :)

    Well now, it was my dad who was responsible for my love of Pearl Jam as well... only I was 2 or 3 and they were still a new band.

    i wish i wouldve been exposed to them when i was 12. i didnt catch the bug until 2003 when i was 16. since then its been 5 yrs of musical heaven for me :)

    Seriously? Where do you get all those youtube videos then?! They are great, I thought you were from Seattle back in the day.

    I forgot to say that my parents took my brother and me to my first show too. I was 11 and it was New Kids on the Block at Giants. :-)

    My first rock show was Green Day at Nassau when I was 14, but I went to that with my cousin. We got there early and stood in front of the pit, pressed up against the rail.

    My first concert was the Beastie Boys the summer before 5th grade for the Hello Nasty tour. Not quite sure how old you are at that point, but I remember being hooked on music ever since.....It's a sad addiction that annoys A LOT of people that live with me.

    Well Happy Anniversary!! That's awesome...

    PJ was my first show ever in 1991 @ the tender age of 13, granted that was before you were born :o , but it changed my life.

    the date of my first show is coming up too. Oct 2, 2008 will mark 12 years ago my first show. Cheers to anyone else whon Hartford was their frist show also. music has never been the same, but it wasn't the show that turned me on...it was the first time i ever heard Even Flow that did it. i was sold lock stock and barrel, and had to wait 4 yearl before seeing them live.

    i think it's awesome how this band has spanned over a generation and some of our kids are just as into them as we are. rock on...
    No time to be void and save up on life, you gotta spend it all.

    i still havent been to a concert yet, granted i really got into the band about 2 months before their '08 summer tour (yeah, thats right, im a newbie), so dont really have an anniversary
    but im sure when that day comes, it will blow my mind & be the best day of my life!

    Oh trust me.....I would rather annoy the shit outta people with my useless knowledge of bands then sit here in ingorance of the music around me. I recently graduated from broadcasting school in hopes of spreading my joy to others

    Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

    ... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
