are you really going to lose sleep over "settling" for the 9th or 10th row anyway? Come on now.

Someone who is used to sitting in the first few rows is giving up a few rows, so moving back to the 9th or 10th row is settling!

I didn' t say it wasn't settling...I asked if you were really going to lose sleep over it? You are? OK.

The system is darn near perfect...most people with a high fan club number got lucky that they were of the age to be aware enough to join. The 10c needs to offer some sort of incentive for new members to join for tickets and theyve done it.

I won't lose any sleep, and I agree, the current system is a nice mix of seniority and randomness.

The only thing I dislike about the winners of the lottery, is that they are constantly looking back at their friends, and waving "hi". Like it's in the instructions with the ticket "In order to use this ticket you must turn around every 15 minutes and try to spot people you know and wave to them". It's very very distracting when just trying to watch the G.D. show.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

    YES IT CAN

think about it...you are adding 4 random rows of allotment, if you don't win the lottery moved your ass back no matter what number you are

People do this?? All I can think of is that the need to be looked at is more important than watching the show!! WTF?

    I wish I had this problem! #177,xxx

Unless a lot of people ahead of me stop renewing or start dropping dead, I can only dream of being 9th row or better for every show.

Good luck to all in the lottery.

P.S. If I win, I will keep my head facing the stage at all times. Unless I'm getting a beer or using the bathroom.

With that number you should be inside first 9 rows unless of course you are going to shows in chicago, orthe north east.

My number is just a bit higher than his 185XXX and I have never been outside the first 9 rows, and never won the lottery.

Not really if a winner has a better number than you they would have been in front of you lottery or no lottery ........so it is only winners with lottery numbers after you that are going to move you back

I've only been on the floor at the United Center in Chicago once. Side of stage all other shows. The closest I've been was at Alpine. Right side of stage about 15-20 rows back. Can't remember exactly.

Last year in Chicago at the United Center I was left side of the stage about 15 rows up off the floor and about 20 rows back from the stage. The worst seats so far, but that was the only show in the US announced when Ten Club tickets went on sale, so I wasn't shocked or disappointed. I heard there were Ten Club members in the 300 upper level at that show.

    good call.

I never realized exactly what those people were always looking at! It's definitely a distraction when they keep turning around and waving in your face all the time.

I had this one particularly strange incident when a lottery winner was very very happy to be in 2nd row and very very drunk. It wasn't pretty. (ex: he kept standing on his chair ... trying to touch Ed maybe?) Then Mike threw a few pics out and he turns around and gives me an extra. Kinda like a peace offering. I instantly forgave his antics.

    Definitely.

Virginia Beach 2008 people with numbers very close to mine were in the 4th and 5th row.
My seats were in the 10th row.

You indeed got pushed back. My number is not as good as yours, and I was 6 rows in front of you.

This seems to confirm that "winning" the lottery can move you backwards. :?

Well if that's true, that kinda sucks.

For every person that thinks it sucks there is another who thinks it
    doesn't suck.
And then there are those who think it's mildly irritating or annoying and are still on the fence
to whether it genuinely sucks or not.
Personally, I am in the crowd that just doesn't give a shit.
