I also saw Mötley Crüe, with Styx as the opening band. Again, free tickets and it was summertime on the lawn at the susquehanna bank center. I wish I could tell you it was a horrible concert, because I'm sure it was, but I was way too wasted to remember... eek!
Two fuckin' people dare to dis the Crüe??? They are classic.
Where's Sen and Fanch when you need them?

I saw some level C hair bands back in the day. In fact, I went to the Warrant and Danger Danger show at Seattle's Paramount Theatre in 1989. I might be more embarrassed if that weren't the night I was first introduced to the music of Alice In Chains. Life Changing Show. \m/
I took my friends lil' sister to see Backstreet boys. she was 13 at the time i guess. It was soooo fucking bad.
but she had the time of her life, the smile on her face was worth it.
Nickelback.
It was in 1998 at some dive bar. My friend asked if I wanted to go check out some band, and I did.
I almost made that mistake that same year. They were playing this tiny divey/cowboy bar in Utah that a co-worker worked at a few nights a week. Luckily I decided to play with my Nintendo 64 or something else more important that night.
I was 14 at the time. it was me and 2 other of mine soccer teammates. I left bout 10 songs into the concert and hungout at the z100 booth for the rest of the concert. I intoruced a few songs on the 9 at 9 countdown and gave a wrap up of the concert.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
Sammi: Wanna just break up?
I went to see Megadeth some years ago ('99 or 2000) when they were touring for Risk. While they were good and put on a fine show, I was unfortunately subjected to Static X's blatantlip-syncing and coordinated stage moves for 45 minutes beforehand. It was seriously embarrassing.
Believe it or not there was another band who opened before Static X (some band from Chicago I think) whose name I don't remember. They were the most God-awful act I have ever seen live. Balding dudes with long hair (of the hair that was remaining), waaaayy too tight leather pants from which their beer guts were spilling out over the top of, gallons of sweat, and virtually nothing but lead guitar shredding the whole time.
Most of the time I prefer to forget about this experience, but it was so surreal that it is actually one of the prouder music-based moments in my life.

Oh and I popped into a bar for a few drinks in January at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore and...
Vanilla Ice was there! this is like 2 months ago. He was "rapping"... it seems more like "screaming" to these untrained ears. I think he was promoting something to do with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Wow... what a dystopian nightmare this world has become.

Did you just diss VH in favour of Britney Spears in the same post? That's brutal...
I'm sorry Nothingman54 but if no one else will do it I am personally going to report you to the Music Police and have your listening privileges pernanently revoked!!! GOOD LORD!!!
I'm having a hard time coming up with one I am embarassed by, but you folks would say I should be ashamed of seeing Carrie Underwood and then just two weeks ago John Mayer....going to both of those put an amazing smile on the face of the greatest girl in the world so it was a pleasure. And honestly...I enjoyed the hell out of both of them
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

(GWAR fans will know the context therein)
I'd actually kinda like to see GWAR (though I think I'd have to be in the right kind of mood).
Most embarassing concert for me was certainly New Kids on the Block. I even camped out outside the mall for tickets. What can I say? I was 13.
CHILLIN LIKE BOB DYLAN!!!
I've seen GWAR a few times, I think it's a good time !!! I too have been sprayed by the giant penis.

Back in 1992 he was just huge (as an entertainer) and my then future/now current wife had a country music phase, bless her, before she saw the light.
Anyway, he played four sold out shows in Texas Stadium so I took her to one.
Some fucking drunk roper cowboy asshole drank a half a bottle of Jim Beam and puked all over me.
