    I still prefer the original. I think because I heard it first. When I saw Trent do it live I nearly cried. Definitely the most amazing live performance I have ever seen.

    I like the original better, Cash's is great too! I think Ed would do a good job, but would he have the right emotion?

    i think its about how drugs affected a healthy relationship and how it comes down on the abuser later in life once the partner has died.

    As much as I like Johnny Cash's version, I still think Trent's is better - although I much prefer the live versions to the album cut. I'm sure Ed would manage a great version, but I don't see it happening.

    During the multinational Hurricane Katrina benefit thing Trent Reznor did a live version, just him and his piano, and I think it was the best version I've heard. Definitely made me like the song more than any other version.

    Personally I don't care about that fact because I respect both bands as much as I can however Pj is my all time fav.
    This is undoubtedly an amazing song and Eddie couldn't fuck it up at all - his version would be an other gem I am pretty sure!!! (OK, I am biased:))

    I feel quite fortunate to have been lucky enough to hear it twice last year (Vienna, Budapest) from Trent himself...his live version is simply AMAZING and couldn't be better!!!

    I was just listening to Johnny Cash's version of "God's Gonna Strike You Down" and thought, "that could be pretty cool if Ed covered that"...but then the "Non Entity" from Bridge 2006 came on the iPod and I thought "Crap! That would be f'n awesome to hear Ed cover!!"

    But now that Ed's covered Hurt.....wow.....Maybe when NIN comes to Victoria in December they'll do "EvenFlow"...or "Gone"....?

    But way to call it DTL 10! Yay you!!
