    know your enemy.

George Bush's policy killed over 1 million people, does that bother you? Obama is waging a war against a people, does that bother you?

You don't have to look far to find the real terrorists.

I knew somebody would try to defend this but it breaks my heart that it's the first post and so soon.

First of all, I don't know where you come up with 1 million people. But yes, any inocent civilian getting killed over war bothers me. For the second question......Obama is waging a war on AlQaida terorists, I do not believe they even deserve to be labeled as "a people". Don't forget....THEY declared war on US! But all in all, I would like to see ALL the troops come home and dump all our war money into homeland security.

See, that's the problem with all of the chickenhawks bloviating about the need for military commissions, secret detentions, enhanced interrogations, and all these illegal tactics employed by the Bush Administration. People like that wind up getting off scot free:
"Military commission trials are a recent contrivance with a limited, unsatisfactory record. Three commission trials resulted in convictions, two with sentences of less than a year."

Meanwhile, the Obama Justice Department, captured a high value detainee, who has since plead guilty to the most serious terror plot since 9/11. Looks like he's going to be put away for a long, long time, and he spilled the beans on the plot, too.
Not to forget the Fruit of the Loom Bomber, who also confessed to the FBI.

Oh yeah, there have been over 319 convictions or guilty pleas in the civilian courts. Just so we get some perspective here.

one million people was the accepted number from aid organizations like the red cross and unicef...

innocent civillians are killed all the time. and most of those killed have been civillians, women and children..ever hear of the weddings getting bombed by mistake in iraq and now pakistan by our lovely predator drones? not to mention those killed in shooting rampages by the likes of blackwater...

last time i checked, al queda is not a country or government, thus under international law there is no way they can declare war on anyone...and we are no better because terrorism is a tactic and you can not declare war on a tactic....its like declaring a war on landmines....

I'm pissed off at the goddamned Bush administration for starting that whole Gitmo crap instead of giving him to civilian law enforcement. This guy could have been in prison for life instead of walking away free.

Is that too much for you to understand?

Whatever! The thought that someone can sit there and say they are not anti terorist and can understand why they do what they do (fly a couple planes into buildings killing almost 3,000 american civilians) makes me sick to my stomach. Maybe you should be put on a watch list and maybe a wiretap on your phone wouldn't be such a bad idea either.

Starfalls post  Yeah the guy that set his pecker on fire pleaded guilty, fuckin duh! What was he going to say....he didn't do it?

did i defend them? NO! did i praise them? NO! did i say thank god for 911?? HELL NO!!
so don't put words in my mouth! and for you to flat out say i need to be put on a watch list and have my phone tapped is fucking bullshit

maybe if you would shut up for once and listen to what motivates these people you might learn something. by you not understanding their motives you are only encouraging them with your arrogance. you will never stop terrorism until you can understand what motivates them and maybe try to not encourage them...

as far as your anger goes, blame the clusterfuck on what bush's administration did. they thought they were so smart with these military tribunals and all of the torture at gitmo and look how many people have gotten off because of it...

He could have been thrown into Gitmo, waterboarded, and all that shit that the neocons decided was good, and got nothing out of him, just like everyone one else who was sent there.
Meanwhile, the FBI interrogated him, and he turned in some actual, actionable intelligence.

Exactly, but it's not just that. The biggest problem with torture is that it's an unreliable way of getting information. People will say stuff under torture just to make the torture stop, so they will tell you what they think you want to hear, not what you should hear.

No, suporting the release of an AlQaida member by blaming it on our president does. I don't give a fuck what we did to THIS DIRTBAG. They should've put a bullet between his eyes. I do not hold sympathy for AlQaida because I am blinded by Bush hatred.

If you check Obama's last trip over seas. His wife left just after their visit to France ,
as stated below. She has yet to accompany him to any Arab country.
Think about it. All pieces of the puzzle.

I was at a Blockbusters renting videos, and as I was going along the wall,
there was a video called "Obama". There were two ARAB men next to me. We
talked about Obama. I asked them why they thought Michele Obama headed home
following her visit in France, instead of traveling on to Saudi Arabia and Turkey with her husband...

They told me she couldn't go to Saudi Arabia , Turkey or Iraq!

I said "Laura Bush went to Saudi Arabia , Turkey and Dubai ." They said that
Obama is a Muslim, and by Muslim law he would not be allowed to bring his wife
into countries that accept Sharia Law.

I just thought it was interesting that two Arabs at Blockbusters accept
the idea that we're being led by a Muslim who follows the Islamic creed.
They also said, that's the reason he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia .. It
was a signal to the Muslim world.

When I heard this it made sense to me, but there were also a couple
blank spots. So, I sent it to a friend who is a Middle Eastern Scholar and expert,
    Dr. Jim Murk.

Here is his explanation that states a little more clearly what the Arabs at Blockbuster were saying.

"An orthodox Muslim man would never take his wife on a politically
oriented trip to any nation which practices shari'ah la, which includes
Saudi Arabia. That is why Obama left Michelle in Europe, or at home, when he
went to Arab countries. He knows Muslim protocol; this included his bowing
    to the Saudi king.
Obama is regarded as a Muslim in these countries simply
because he was born to a Muslim father. Note that he has downplayed his
Christianity--even spoke of his Muslim faith with George Stephanopoulus --by
not publicly joining a Christian church in D.C., but simply attending the
chapel or services at Camp David. He also played down the fact that the
United States is a Christian country and said, unbelievably, that it was one of the
largest Muslim nations in the world, which is nonsense! He has also publicly
taken the part of the Palestinians in the conflict with Israel. Finally, he
ignored the National Day of Prayer. He is bad news.

First of all, really know what's going on before you make lame ass remarks like that. And when I say know I mean REALLY know. Obama is not a democrat or a republican, he's a member of the same Klan. I am a Muslim and I'm telling you Obama is NO Muslim! If he was a real Muslim je wouldve NEVER been elected!!! Serious people wake the fuck up and get a grip of yourself!!! All he's doing is his part in the agenda. Oh and by now the number isn't 1,000,000 dead inocent iraqis, by now that number has gone way up...and when and if we ever leave, I'm sure that number will
    continue to grow.
Ya, flying 2 planes into buildings is a terrorist act no ones denying that, but what is it called when you continue to bomb the shit out of inocent lives since 2003? Or when you continue to
oppress a people for over 60 years?? Liberators? Freedom fighters? I guess it all depends on where you call home.....

Another top AlQaida member walking off into the sunset.

And I bet he's laughing at us the whole way.
thought this was interesting so cut and paste it
feel free to figure this one out.

    Godfather.

    Interesting....
    wtf is this godfather?

that's from fox news. at least post the source.

what a load of crap. all of it is crap. and can you please show me where Obama has taken the part of the Palestinians in the conflict with Israel? WTF does that even mean? taken the part?

and last i checked there were still 1.5 million ordinary Palestinians, victims of Israels brutual and illegal occupation.

if you are going to post shit. back it up.

    show me.

George Bush said that God spoke to him directly. A self-claimed Christian who defied the teachings of Jesus on a daily basis. The list of asses that he kissed is long and surly I'm sure. Laura Bush could go in arabland even though, as a Christian, she should have been witnessing for Christ to all non-believers (their words, not mine). Hypocrisy runs rampant in politics. I was hoping Obama would lean toward the what you see is what you get kind of stand up guy. It could still happen. Probably. Maybe. Slightly possible. Snowball's chance in Quito (thought I was going to say hell, didn't you?).
fuck 'em if they can't take a joke

"what a long, strange trip it's been"

he raises a valid point, do you at least agree on that?

I think I can agree with the point, but I take issue with the wording. There's no reason to use words like "real terrorists". Ask people in Mumbai if Islamic extremist groups like Al Qaida are "real terrorists", to name but one example. 166 civilian deaths.
