My favourite Pearl Jam anything is Yield and, just as much, Single Video Theory... I can watch it over and over again... such an intimate inside view of the band and how they make music.

Had Brain of J stuck in my head this morning. Listened to Yeild on the way to work for the first time in years... Great album. Can't believe I hadn't listened in so long! Much love for Yeild!! :D

Yield is my fav as well. Best McCready riff in Faithful and best Gossard riff in DTE. Heck I even like the b-sides from that album. "But thats like my opinion man"

I'd like to hear the entire album... but maybe spread out between Columbus and Cleveland.

    Hummus!

Just shows how good this band is, that any of their first 5, maybe 6 albums could be their very best. The critcis always say Ten, but the fans don't.

Yield is not my favourite, although I love it. The production is wonderful, why can't Pearl Jam or Backspacer sound like this?

I was listening the other day, and it struck me that it really is quite a soft album, soft in a good way. Apart from Brain of J and Do The Evolution, it has a very folky laid back vibe (Faithful, Wishlist, Pilate, All Those Yesterdays) and then some almost experimental powerpop (No Way, MFC, In Hiding)

  • They should play all of yield, then all of no code and then all of yield again.

Yield ROCKS!!! And imo, one of the best promoted Pearl Jam albums of all time. Before the internet went mainstream, I remembered heading down to my local HMV & Sam's store in Halifax. They had sweet band poster's, huge Pearl Jam Yield posters, free interview/music CD giveaway's with every purchase of Yield. Contests from HMV, Live in Phoenix via Much Music give away. And then an amazing music video since Oceans. Animation & music is what I love & have been collecting it's art for year's. To see Do The Evolution made, it totally blew my mind. I kinda wished Single Video Theory had a making of Do The Evolution part. Much Music had a short interview with Seth MacFarlane about the video, but it was pretty fast on Rapid Fax. Would of loved to see the black & white film strips of the making of that video someday.
