I have been in the ten club for a number of years, my number is 68xxx. During my tenure I have only not been able to secure 10c tickets to 1 show and I have attended many shows during each tour. I am not sure if am just lucky or fortunate. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the 10c for allowing me to pay only $20 a year for have the opportunity to purchase tickets to as many shows as I would like and receive excellent seats. During the 2003 tour they offered me the chance to exchange tickets from the 2nd MSG show to the final show in Holmdel (Tim B was there to distribute the tickets to the venue). By doing this I received 1st row tickets and needless to say the show was amazing. I know it is tough to make the time to get on line, work through the process and spend the money to go to see the shows, but at the end of the day I feel it is worth it to see a band that I have loved since 1991.
My goal is to start a positive thread to hear stories about other members that have enjoyed the benefits of the 10c over the years and spread some love for all of the hard work, dedication and thoughtfulness that both the 10c and the band have provided for the past almost 20 yrs.
I know there have been many people that have been disappointed during the last few tours but I would ask each of you to dig deep and talk about the great and positive moments that you have experienced watching a band that we all love.
Thank you for your time.

2008 Bonnaroo - 2009 Philly 2&3 - 2010 MSG 1&2
I can still remember filling out the form (or was it a postcard?) with a check that my mom gave me back in 94 or so.....aaahhh the good ol' days.
My question to you is, are the 10c tickets generally pretty decent or could I get stuck in the nose bleeds. Thinking about buying another set through TM just in case.

Yes life is hard and unfair and this day and age i feel we all need to look to something that puts a smile on our face, wether it is putting on an old record, going to see our favorite band of sharing some time with a loved one or friend. If I can't see pearl jam, i know that i can put on a record, play my guitar and feel good about being alive.
It all depends on your number and how many people are going to the venue. A good way to try to get a gauge on seats is by checking out http://www.touringfans.net/seatTracker.php, and registering. This will give you somewhat of an idea of how many people are in front of you for seats, but know the amount of 10c seats varies by location.

In Philly on Halloween last year I got my tickets and went inside and they were the VERY BACK of the floor.. Went to the fanclub ticket window and asked if there was a mistake.. The guy checked the books and confirmed that it was indeed correct.. I asked if there was ANYTHING else available.. He got me up into the 300s and I was perfectly happy.. Full view of the stage and the crowd.. Tenclub ALWAYS comes thru.. This MSG/Boston thing is an anomaly. I guess if they played 10 nights and only allowed 1 show per member then everyone would get in... Then some would whine about the 1 show limit.. Peace, Love, and Pearl Jam!!
And that's coming from a Midwesterner who may not get to use those privileges as much as some of you East/West coasters
7/3/98 - Kansas City, 8/18/00 - Indianapolis, 10/12/00 - Kansas City

in 1998 i went out to see them in Utah 6/21/98 - my birthday. i emailed them and told it was birthday. i was 3rd row dead center in front of eddie. spectacular!
in 2005 PJ played at the Wachovia Ctr. in Philly. i got shut out of fan club tix and was totally upset and furious. (their system was worse then) i emailed 10c and vented my frustrations. 2 days later they emailed me with tix available. they came through, it was such a killer show and i wound being 5th row.
...and that's just two of my stories. anyone remember back in the day when they actually had mail order tix with your name printed on them?
such cool memories, been a 10clubber since 1993/1994 and I hold on to my number for dear life!
Hail Hail 10c!
I haven't had the chance to buy any tickets nor even go to a concert, but with some patience and perseverance they will tour soon in México and I will be there (hope so).
Awesome stuff! We need more of these stories and btw Philles are going to rock it in 2010. I gave up my worldseries tickets to see the final night at the spectrum. I know that is a violation but had to see pj blow up the spectrum!
I don't blame you at all man. If I could have sat next to Werth and Utley in the dugout for that game - I still woulda been at that show. It was freagin' fantastic. All four shows, I didn't have fan club seats all four nights just 2 outta 4, but I was there all four night and I still can't stop thinking about those shows. Unbelievable!
Peace Brother! Dude send me a PM, I am gonna hook you up with all the 2009 shows on DVD for your gratitude and getting me totally pumped! Seriously send me a PM with your address, all 2009 shows in FLAC on DVD.
PM on its way than you!
I totally agree and that is an excellent point. The are to be commended for keeping the annual fee to a low cost, other bands are in the $50 range and do not deliver the same amout of tickets to keep the fans close to the band. The web site has its challenges but they are aware of that point and are doing everything they can to make sure that a large allotment of tickets are available to the to the 10c. I wish there was a better way to say thanks.

3 Shows later I won the lottery so the 10C will forever be dear to me. I like to think I brought myself some good PJ Karma for not freaking out over my earlier problem. I am sure they get shit on all the time when things like that happen.
Thanks 10C!
Oh yah and the fact that they'd roll up and mail out all those posters so we don't have the hassle of dealing with them at the shows is incredible.
So. for 20 bucks, not bad.
Oh and my number is 328xxx. I have always been seated in the middle half way up, no matter what venue.
Bostons, Phillys, Cleveland, Toronto , Tampa, Buffalo, Columbus, Noblesville
I have a relatively high #, but have had some great seats overall.
Never had a problem with an order - always got what I expected.
Good singles, nice deep magazines.
I am happy.
Over the years I've had really good seats, 1st 20 rows, main floor, except one where smaller venue, on the side but a great view over the mainfloor crowd. I've gotten to take my mom (about 60 then) we had like 5th row center, by brother then his wife to the 2nd show in chicago. I saw a lady with a pass around her neck, our eyes met, I asked her how did you get that pass, she said I'm eddies mom. I said no way, yes I am, I congratulated her and shook her hand. later on I ran over when it was appropriate and got her autograph on my ticket. that was pretty cool.
in chicago we waited behind the united center, just trying to see what we could see, and I'm pretty sure the band came out in a big passenger van with privacy windows and saw the few of us hanging out. if just for a second, it was something, they saw me waving or whatever, their fans, like they used to do.
I love the singles, I used to spin elvis, fleetwood mac, bob dylan, debbie boon, queen and many other vinyls as a youngster whilest singing into a pretend microphone atop my bed.
In the earlier, mail order days, I ordered something and they usually made you put an alternate choice and I did but it was a different cost, so they sent me a refund check, handwritten with ten club in the upper corner for like $6.83, I never cashed it, it goes into my PJ valuable things archive.
and finally, a thank you note I wrote with no return address, just a simple sentence to describe PJ and their music in my life shortly after a show I was still feeling refreshed, revived etc. I could live without it if I had never known, but knowing it, makes my life better. made it to the letters section of deep.
I got shut out of eds tour when he came to chicago, and I missed the house of blues with robert plant cause I didn't check the website soon enough. I'm not bitter, wasn't meant to be.
PJ and the ten club are great and I try to be a great fan.

This band rules. Member since 98, been shut out of a few shows, (but who hasnt? People act like they're the only ones in the world who like this fucking band) and always found a way to go. Thank you tenclub for everything. Fuck the whiners and bitches.
They didn't play L.A. until 4 years after I joined, but I got 5th row floor seats (1998). I've been front row 3 times, and never worse then 5th row the rest of the time.
I am always entertained by the ideas/opinions I read in these forums.
