I lived there for 30 years and I knew better...so there!
  • PJ at the Dunk would be AWESOME!!!

Does PJ realize that that this is just 20 mins from all of the historic "Boston" Shows @ Great Woods? (tweeter/comcast center)

    Come to Providence!!!

Worcester or Manchester wouldn't be bad either. Especially since PJ has never played in NH.
  • This would be great for sure. If the play-offs really interfere though, I would love it if Pearl Jam plays Mansfield. The curfew sucks, but the atmosphere is totally worth it.

The band played at Rocky Point back in like 1991 or something.

Providence is a very underrated city. and the Dunk is an intimate arena. great sightlines all over the arena. would be very cool place to see a band their size.

  • The May 17th show hasn't sold out yet. There's still some pretty good balcony seats available. Does anyone really think they'll add a 5/18 Boston Garden show or any other venue in the area?

    the word "add" is irrelevant.

the date is on their itinerary. they will play a show on may 18, it is a matter of where right now.

Providence is a better city than Worcester. Last time Pearl Jam played Worcester was 1994. Last time they played Providence was...never. According to the concert chronology they last played the state of Rhode Island on 11/13/91 in Warwick, RI. Could have sworn they played Providence in 92 at Club Baby Head.

Even more reason for them to book a Providence, RI show! Show the smallest state in the union some love!

The only seats I see available are behind the stage.
They only sell the seats behind the stage when everything else is gone.

Actually, PJ has never played Worcester, MA. The closest they have played to Worcester is Lowell, MA 1992-04-06

Correct. I live and grew up in western Massachusetts. Only 2 towns away from Springfield and 1 town away from Amherst, MA. Pearl Jam played western Mass 4 times, though i hate the fact that I was too young at the time and wasn't able to go to any of the shows.

Pearl Jam's 1st trip to New England & Massachusetts was on 7-10-91 Boston, MA; Avalon (no known recording).

The 2nd time they came to New England & Massachusetts was on 11-1-91 Boston, MA; Boston University - Walter Brown Arena (no known recording).

The next day PJ played in New England, but it was the 1st time it wasn't Massachusetts.
On 11-2-91 PJ played Burlington, VT; University Of Vermont - Memorial Auditorium. It was the 1st and last time PJ would play Vermont.
    SETLIST:
    01 Wash
    02 Once
    03 Even Flow
    04 Alive
    05 Jeremy
    06 Why Go
    07 Porch

The very next day after VT was the 1st time Pearl Jam played western Mass. On 11.03.1991 PJ played Springfield, MA; Springfield Civic Center.
    SETLIST:
    01. Release
    02. Even Flow
    03. Suggestion
    04. Why Go
    05. Alive
    06. Porch
    07. I've Got a Feeling

Then 11-13-91 Warwick, RI; Rocky Point Palladium (no known recording) marked the 1st & last time PJ played Rhode Island. Also, it was the 2nd time PJ had played another New England state besides Mass. The 1st was Vermont.

Moreover, the next day was the 2nd time PJ played western Mass. On 11-4-91 they played Amherst, MA; University Of Massachusetts - Student Ballroom. (no known recording).

Then in 1992 Pearl Jam returned to New England and Massachusetts. They made their debut in central Mass on 4-6-92 at Lowell, MA; Cumnock Hall.
    SETLIST:
    01. Oceans

Little Rhodey would be nice & easy. As of late though, I think all successive shows have been the same venue. I may be wrong, but I think an show outside of the Garden is a long shot.

Rhode Island would be epic. Springsteen has played the Civic Center (now the Dunk) in the past, so the arena does get some big acts. would be great for the fans. Even the seats across the arena would be closer than the usual arena.
