...... and HARTFORD haha ?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Because they sellout immediately. Look at the rest of these joke towns, tickets are still available. I don't wanna hear another complaint about PJ not visiting your area if you can't even support them. They could play Boston / NYC / Philly every weekend and sellout within minutes.

    Well...

The 10 club tickets may not sell out...
That doesnt mean the venue wont sell out...right????

Plus...You and I have NO IDEA how many 10club tickets are available for these/any shows....right???

Noblesville....population 12,000 plus a few cows and chickens.....

NEW YORK...population 10 million or so????

And yes I know the population of each city has nothing to do with anything.....
I just felt like talking about cows and chickens....hehehehe

I am willing to bet Noblesville will be 90-95% full capacity, when all is said and done.....
    Same with Cleveland and Columbus....

it is a bit suprising....but considering the size of the metro area's...

i'm actually suprised by Inday, considering it is a short drive from Chicago
81 is now off the air

Im sure population has a lot to do with it. I bet casual pearl jam fans in NYC will not try and pass up the chance to get these tickets. WIll they be up at 9am on saturday to get tickets, I highly doubt it

    I disagree....

If there are 5,000 10club pairs available....And 20,000 people from New York who are 10club members, trying for tickets.....Well than obviously the 10club tickets are gonna sell out......

Just because 3,000 10club members are purchasing Noblesville tickets, doesn't necessarily mean the VENUE wont sell out....

    Right???

    He is not correct.

Lets say Noblesville has 5,000 10club tickets available. 4,000 people from Chicago and Indy have purchased tickets. Thats a pretty damn good showing, right? The venue will probably be 90-95% full. Dont you think?

There are probably 20,000 10club members from New York. Right? If not more. Of course New York will sell out....They could probably sell 80% of the venue to 10club members...right???

I here ya,i guess only time will tell. As i've said before Pj isn't a dumb band. They play certain areas philly,ny,boston, chicago, toronto why??? Cause they know its easy money. I love Pj and could care less if they are all about the money,WHY cause im all about the music. I know its hard to come to terms with but your 1990s Pj has come to relieve that its a disease and its all GREEN. And it's ok cause they need to take care of number 1. i love Pj and i love seeing them in my home town every year or so. Im sorry that not every city, state has the honor, ill admit im lucky but im sure as hell not gonna agree with people that they need to play other areas just to play other areas. Once again i love Pj and please come back to PHILLY :o

I remember the Gorge did not sell out of ten club tix in 2006 and night 2 wasn't even sold out after the general sale. But you don't ever see people say that that region can't support Pearl Jam.

Yeah, that is true. A little unfair as the Gorge is 150 miles from the Seattle area out in the middle of nowhere, USA, and that second show was on a Sunday.

That said, there is no denying that the area of the country that has the highest population per capita, also has the highest number of 10c members. It doesn't make any of those fans any better of fans than those in other parts of the world, it just means there are more of them in a much smaller area.

Totally agree. I hate seeing threads saying my town is better than yours and my region is better than yours.

And just because ten club tix sell out doesn't mean the venue sells out. Philly Spectrum 1 last year wasn't sold out and neither was Camden 2 in 2008.

philly 1 didn't sell out because it was the last show to go on sale and everyone already got tickets to the other 3. As for Camden 2 if it wasn't a sellout then it was 95% or better. im not sayn my city which is your city is better then anyone elses. my point is that if u want PJ to come around your neck of the woods then u better hope 90% of the venue is sold out period.

 First off, your reference to midwest and southern cities as "joke towns" is offensive and unneccessary and goes against the basic guidelines set out for this forum. :x Next.. If Philly, New York, or Boston were as neglected as southern and middle america don't you think many members would cease to renew? I live in Nashville and am fortunate to have the time and resources to travel to see the band. Many others from here don't have that luxury due to financial constraints, time commitments, or family obligations. Last time the band played a proper show in Nashville was to a SOLD OUT crowd in 2003. Ed played 2 SOLD OUT solo shows here last year, but nearly every fanclub member I know from here got shut out on tickets through the lottery system they put in place and had to purchase them elsewhere. So as of right now it has been 7 years since they have played here. 7 yrs x $20 = $140 in membership dues for zero Pearl Jam shows and getting shut out of the EV solo shows.. For these people tenclub membership is obviously not a good value. Same goes for Kansas City, St. Louis, Indy, Columbus... and Finally.. Sure touring isn't cheap, but come on, do you honestly think Pearl Jam sweats over making sure they can get EVERY possible dollar by selling EVERY possible seat?? and if it isn't about the money, do you think their ego's are so fragile that they would be bothered by playing a 3/4 full arena? Go listen to Salt Lake City boot from last year and you will see otherwise.. That show was 3/4 full at best and it kicked major ass.. I'm sure Ed still managed to put a little something into Olivia's college fund that night..

The truth no one wants to hear is that besides the most available 10C members in the biggest or most accessible cities is the fact that people want to travel to these cities. No offense to other cities, but not many people aren't willing to travel to a mid-level city to see a band, even if they love them. Perhaps if they're close in proximity then yes, but to fly or travel many hours of great distance, it's less likely. That's just something that the NYC's, Boston and Philly's can offer that many others can not.

I think you have a point. I live an hour from Buffalo, so sure, going there to see PJ is awesome for me. It also means I don't have to STAY in Buffalo overnight. Anyone who's been to that venue knows it's in a terrible part of town, unlike, say, MSG or the Garden in Boston. Not to mention NYC and Boston are destinations unto themselves. No one says "You know, I've never been to Buffalo, this will be the perfect opportunity!"
  • because the east coast is where its at, shows here have so much more energy than anywhere else,

also, i think Eddie was talking about how the cd sale were highest in the pennslyvania area during the riot act tour.

I am willing to bet you 5 candy bars on this.....

I remember the Gorge did not sell out of ten club tix in 2006 and night 2 wasn't even sold out after the general sale. But you don't ever see people say that that region can't support Pearl Jam.

Not sure about the 10c tix and gorge but it was packed in the seats at the Gorge that day just a lot empty space in the GA - think a lot of people bailed on the show because it was like 115 degrees out.

    SHOW COUNT: (157) 1990's=3, 2000's=53, 2010/20's=97, US=116, CAN=15, Europe=20 ,New Zealand=2, Australia=2
    Mexico=1, Colombia=1

    Upcoming:   Ohana x2  Aucklandx2, Gold Coast, Melbournex2
