Just get in, once the shows starts, it won't matter

Aside from being a NYC-snob, I can objectively say that MSG is one of the best venues in the world I've been in (which is many). It's like a typical arena setup but as a bowl, so there really are not any bad seats. The 300 level sections aren't super high and provide a great view of the stage.

Right on I have sat in the second row in Philly and back in no where land, a show is greaet anywhere
  • 300 is the second-highest level at MSG. I sat in section 335 for night 2 in 2008 on Ticketmaster seats and that is the equal to sitting center ice at a Ranger game and had no problem with the sound or seeing the band.

seeing them at the Garden will be amazing no matter where you sit, but try not to get the behind the stage tickets. ed does turn from time to time, but who wants to see all the backs of their heads other than prison sodimists?

select "Best Available" and take the first thing that comes up. That will be the only chance you get on Saturday.

You won't really care where you're at. The building literally SHAKES there is so much energy in there. I'd sit under a fucking seat if I could.

If you're in the building, you're a lucky bastard.

My 2 cents from a life long msg goer:
While I agree its a special place to see a show and its PJ so its a no lose but lets not say the 400's are even decent. They suck but its PJ so getting in the building will be enough.
  • the layout is stacked upon eachother in the 100 - 300's so you'll be able to see everything from there but in the 400's (blueseats) the people on the stage tend to look small but the sound is still great. which matters most of all :D

actually i've sat from behind and it was pretty cool. i was closer than what i got the night before with my 10c seats plus ed and whoever kind of dance around a lot so it's not as bad as i thought it would be. i actually got an offer to trade tickets with someone who was in section 5 of the floor.
also, i've sometimes gotten better seats when not clicking "best available" because the best available is subjective. TM's best available was all the way in the back but when i pressed a specific section i got better (to me) tickets.
but remember, there will always be a spare so don't stress out too much ;)

I think 300s and down are just fine.
The discrepancy between the 100s & the 200s and then the 200s & the 300s really isn't much
The distance from the 300s to the 400s, however, is bigger.

Sitting in the 300s isn't all that bad, especially if you get side stage.
I was section 309, 4th row for Muse and the seats were just fine!!

There is no bad seat at MSG. There are only better ones. If you can get in, you'll be happy.

I used to have Ranger season tickets in section 409. I could see everything. There are no bad seats there. Much better than the high seats at the spectrum or fleet center.

Go to ticketmaster's website, or somewhere on the internet & print up a seating chart b4 you order...
Also, in my experience the lower number quantity of tickets you put in for, the "better" the seats will be.
I place my order for a single ticket, & always get a better seat than when I put in for a pair or more...

P.S.- I've seen them multiple times (4-5) at the Garden, always in a different location, from on the floor, to behind the stage, to up in the 400's, it has ALWAYS been an unforgettable experience!!! I guess that also depends on the person, so feel free to Create an Unforgettable experience :)

I was in the 300s for MSG1 in 2008. Sound is fine, you get to see the crazy floor moving. I had a blast and you will, too :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

I think the person who said grab 'best available' immediately when the tickets come up for sale is probably right, but in terms of preference, I think its better to be at a higher level, but closer to the stage, than a lower level and further away, just my preference.

you dont want to be in the 400s-they are far away
and you want to be in in front of the speakers
the sound is not good on the sides

    other than that-300s are fine

Don't know about the 300 section, but I've been to the venue several times, and it's a fantastic place to see a show, with a great view from any seat. Has always sounded good in there every time I've gone...only saw PJ once there, in 1998 (first night) and they made that big place feel like an intimate theater gig...really great. Hope you get there! I'll be there on the 21st, can't freaking wait!

  • the 400's behind the stage is ok if u don't mind seeing the backs of the bandmates. but it really doesn't matter once you're in there. 2003 MSG was like a big campfire sing-a-long. enjoy the show!!!

I've been to 6 PJ shows at the Garden and some seats are better than others, but if you get any seat at all on Sat grab it! Just being in the building will be a miracle. Ed makes a point of connecting to the whole croud at one point or another during the show. I've been to 14 PJ shows and in my ticket-getting adventures I once got 9th row at Jones Beach. But back to MSG - the 300 level seats are not bad if they're on the sides. 300 level facing the stage is pretty far away. But no matter, just get in. Good luck!
