I know we've got at least one of the three "interrogators" on here. What a great job by those guys.

    Mansfield II '08

    EV Solo Shows:

    NYC I
    NJPAC

    I. LOVE. YIELD.
  • That would be OzJammer
    bloody legends them guys
me I was about 460 on the petition, my daughter just in front of me.
Ive never stopped playing the boot neither, but it got heavy abuse today.
man oh man what a night for newcastle
credit to MR for the setlist, he stressed over it before he gave it to ed,
1st one had too much rarities that the pleb fans would hate
2nd was too far the other way
3rd one was on the money

I think there was still some conjecture re the setlist from many but for those up in the 10c area (and of course plenty of others).....the setlist was A grade material.

That straight after Sydney three was just THE best quinella hands down.

    Memories, tin shed, Undone
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

I remember OzJammer telling me there were several phone calls to the local radio station the days following saying how they didnt play any good songs/all the hits or something to that effect.

Think there were plenty that would been happy with Betterman, Jeremy, Last Arse, Alive, Even Flow etc. Saying they didnt know most of the songs.

When half the arsehats sat for most of the concert I say fuck em.

OzJammer please correct me if Ive misquoted

  • front row center in Newey awesome show, even better when Ed hands you a guitar pick after the third song Severed Hand I think
  • Actually I remember a SMS message to our local paper. it was to the effect of " i went to see pearl jam last night and all I got was Marmalade"
The one and only time Ive ever written to the paper was in responce to this and it was along the lines of " YOU have no idea how good of a show it was FOR REAL FANS, go back to your top 40 hits"

that night was one for the fans. Mark should and is proud. Ive spoken a lot about this with him and he is very happy with pit responses.
I actually got mark to sign my poster of the show, he was shattered that he hadnt got one so I organised to get him another but that prick ED beat me to it, so Marks mate Mick ( works in his shop with him) got it

wohhooooo just noticed Ive hit 500 posts
and on the same day as the anniversary, how very ironic

I've yet to follow through on my plan to hit up MR's shop to thank him for that setlist. Better do that before I leave the country.

    where you emigrating to, hinny?

and for people bagging the casual fans... dont bag em too much, cos without them, the band wouldnt come here at all! they aint gonna play for 50 clowns like us who post on an internet forum.

and for the measure, that newy gig was quality. i remember some US fans sayin that it wasnt that great cos the band cocked up a couple of songs like the intro to red mos. if that gig was played in boston or philly, they woulda been sprayin their shorts over how good it was.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.

I'm starting work in London in March. Get paid better, good professional move, and cheaper to use as a travelling base to see PJ.

I was thinking to myself that I have to make another copy of it because I've worn my copy out. The sound fades in and out :(
