    My backyard. :p

If you look at the area where they are immediately before and after, that could give a few clues. Keep in mind that they probably won't play Philly, since they just did that area.

so we're not believing the person who says they talked to someone at the 10c

who allegedly said "i wouldn't bet on TBD to be Boston"

    or something like that?

I'm hoping for a small venue show. How awesome would the Orpheum be??

I'm not. Still operating on the assumption that it is Boston until I know for sure that it is not.

    i like it

just find it odd that it's a flat out lie

It is strange. But I'm also going to operate on the assumption that it's going to be another Boston show. Otherwise I think 10c would inform us before the tickets go on sale. LOL

I'm thinking there was probably just a mis-communication one way or the other. Either that or whoever answered the phone at 10C had gotten tired of answering the same question over and over and decided to mess around a bit. :D

it's as simple as this: May 18 is slated for Boston 2 but it's not up to the band. The band wants to play there but they are at the mercy of both the Celtics and Bruins. If either of those teams have a playoff game that day, then no PJ concert. If there is no playoff game scheduled, then PJ plays. Hockey playoffs start soon, NBA playoffs start in the middle of April. Both leagues plan out there playoff game well ahead of time so we all should know sometime in mid/late April re: Boston 2.

Very, very slight chance they could do a second Boston show at a different venue but they ain't leaving the city. Most likely, if the Celtics or Bruins have a playoff game, there will only be one Boston show and nothing on 5/18.

A 2nd Boston show was my assumption all along. Until the alleged insider info.

But I don't think your second assumption is a good one. There's a reason 10c has called it a TBD.

10c is going to inform us when they are able ie when it's no longer a TBD. Whether that happens before the ticket sale or not we really don't know. I would guess it doesn't happen before. Because if this is truly Boston 2. Then the likely reason they're not announcing it is someone wants to make sure they can sell out Boston 1.

In the past they gave us details about Rollover shows. Maybe they've changed their policies and don't want to get peoples hopes up.

Or maybe it's an Albany show.

Truly no one knows. And it seems like no one has any connections to the venue like we had with MSG.

So we sit and wait and speculate. And if you're Crazy Ass Breed - masturbate.

I'm the guy who talked to 10C recently. And no, not lying for attention :) . . .I get too much of that as it is. Just throwing out what I know, and I'm in the same boat as everybody. I have a big event on the 21st, so can't make MSG. The only show(s) my girlfriend and I can fly out for are 17th/18th, so I can't even make travel plans yet.

The gist of the conversation I had, when I asked if the second show would be right there, on a perfectly clear cell phone connection, was "Well, when we we have more information, we will know. Basically, TBD means that we haven't yet determined what to do with that date. But if I were a betting man, I wouldn't bet on it."

With the way the club operates sometimes, I wouldn't be shocked if it ends up being a 2nd Boston date, and 10C didn't want the info out there for some reason. I think it makes the most sense for somebody else to call and ask . . . maybe we can get a general idea of plans. I just don't want to bug them, especially with sales going on right now.

but the problem with this theory is that if both the bruins and celtics make the playoffs... the round 2 or 3 schedules won't be known until the week prior

unless... say the bruins don't make the playoffs at all... then maybe that would be a green light? Although NHL season doesn't end until April 11th and they're right on the fence i believe

I just don't see them planning this thing so last minute?

I have to admit that the 2 references to betting in 10c's alleged reply seems a little cryptic, like they're hinting at a casino show. But I also think I'm just reading too much into it + wishful thinking for a small show, a la Borgata.

However, I think people saying they can't announce because of playoffs are hitting the nail on the head, and thus, no announcement yet. I guess we'll see.

How much time would a band give between on-sale dates and the actual performance. The Bruins and Celtics may not know until April or so whether or not a game is scheduled for that date. Would they really only give a month or so for tix to sell?

Can't you imagine why they wouldn't want that?

When they know and want us to know, they'll tell us.
Anything else is speculation. Let's just enjoy the anticipation, shall we?

i was hoping my accusations would get you over here ;) hahahaha thanks for being a good sport

maybe they're betting that the celts and bruins will both be in the playoffs... or that that decision won't be made in time for them to book the show

maybe the decision is ... ok... if the bruins lose 10 in a row... they're definitely out of it and PJ gets 2 nights in the building n matter what the celtics situation

all i definitely know... is that i'm full of maybes ;)

once the teams are slotted, the schedules are planned out, all the way through the finals, for each league. In cases like Boston, they have to plan WELL ahead because two teams play there, plus other events (like concerts).

And, each league/tv networks need to know so they can all synch up their schedules. Lost of people/equipment needs to be shipped and hotel rooms need to be booked. It all happens months ahead of time.

Sure it's up to them. Right now we have alot of rumors going around. A simple post stating the reason isn't a lot to ask. If it's a rollover show for Boston let us know. If it's for somewhere else, come out and shoot down the boston rumors. I have asked for very little from this fan club over the years and for once i'd like to get my 25 bucks worth.
