Trying to get to Indy, but not sure if I can get the day off to make the drive. Sat. nite for any of the spots would have been a slam dunk, but for now trying to get a plan before Monday afternoon!

I'm leaning towards the Indy show. Would have loved a Saturday obviously, but not complaining! Flights to Hartford are actually really cheap out of Milwaukee, less than $175 leaving Friday or Saturday Morning and coming back Sunday. Still considering that.......

Ya that was probably me. Grey pickup truck? I traded it in for a car back in Sept so now I have different plates. So if anyone in Wisco wants that now they should be able to get it.
I'm thinking about flying to St. Louis. Can fly down day of show and fly back next day for $100. After that thinking about driving to Indy then.

Ever wonder why they haven't rescheduled in your little winter wonderland? Having made the mistake of attending the EV show in Milwaukee '08, I wouldn't blame him if the closest he ever gets to the WI state line in the future is Wrigley Field. Please do not bring your rude and obnoxious behavior to our states when you visit for the PJ shows.

I have to say that the actions of a few morons does not represent an entire state. There are idiots everywhere, in every state, and this comes from someone that generally does not like Wisconsin. . . . but its a nice place to visit---between May and September. . .

But as far as their sports teams and fans, well they all suck ---- that ones for you P.R.E. :D

    Let's see here:

Packers are way better then the Bears enough said. :)

Brewers are still a young team and well at least we won a playoff game. Can't say that about the Cubs last couple seasons can you? ;) Soxs I don't really pay attention too.

Basketball yea you got that one. But were the 5th seed I think in the east as of now.

Hockey yea you guys have the pro team over us so ok you get that one.

As far as fans we kick ass at tailgating. :) And when the Cubs played at Miller Park last year a few friends of mine had a great time hanging out with Cub fans b4 the game.

Overall I liked all that you said. ;)

How many shows are you doing btw?

Love the new avatar Patrick! Let me ask you this, I've been here a few times and always thought this would be a great concert venue.

Love Wisconsin. I'm visiting the lakes this summer up there. Can't wait.

  • How come they never hit Madison on any of there tours? Kohl Center perhaps? It's one of the most liberal cities on the planet, you'd think it be right up the bands alley. A lot of places are within easy driving distance (Milwaukee, Chicago, Quad Cities, Minneapolis, etc.) so I don't think drawing a crowd would be difficult. What gives?

BTW, I don't think the fuck-nuts yelling "Go Cubbies!" over and over in between songs at the Ed solo show in Milwaukee were from Wisconsin, just a hunch. And it's not like the crowds were any better for the Chicago shows. Anyone remember the guy that pissed in his seat? Or how bout that drunk twat that felt the need to climb onto the stage during "Let My Love Open the Door"?

The Bears will be MUCH better this year
The Cubs, well I love them, but we all know their track record, but its not like the Brewers are hanging banners in Miller Park

The Bulls were fun 10 years ago, but I think both the Bulls and Bucks have bright futures

The Blackhawks are argueably the best team in hockey
I agree that the tailgating is great in Wisconsin, thats why I love Alpine so much. And Miller Park might be the best tailgating in all of baseball, but you cant beat Wrigleyville before a cubs game

I live in Florida right now so I am still gameplanning a trip, prob fly up to Chicago and drive to Indy, then shoot back for a Cubs game at wrigley and a Brewers game at MP-my friend has season tix to Miller Park. Hey Patrick, can you guess my old screen name? I bet you can if you think real hard, we have went at it quite a bit in the past about the Brewers/Cubs rivalry
  • So sad that there isn't anything a bit closer...
BUT (arm twisted), I will be trying for Indy, Cleve., and Colum., (fingers crossed!!)
And hope to head to Boston and the tba date, pending tix buddy...
I am already working on my accent.
  • I have to wonder if the problem lies on Alpine Valley's shoulders. Ed mentioned at the Chicago (night 1) show that they tried to play there but it didn't work out. I wouldn't give up on the idea. If the timing is right and Alpine authorities have their shit together, it will happen.

  • Going to try for IN show, it's outdoor isn't it? Closest to Alpine as we can get so far this year.
But I'm Faithful, we should all believe. Was at the show when they talked of returning, so I believe.

Well, I was going to aim for some of the shows in the Midwest, but my May is really busy with trips to TN and CO, and my fellow roadtripper has finals that week. Then I remembered that I have a free plane ticket, and a buddy in NYC, so I am going to try for that tomorrow.

    So many options.
  • i'm going to indy and cleveland. think that is enough, went to 7 shows last year.
  • dave, i am in madison. should have room in the car if you want a ride to these shows

I'd say you're good bro. I only plan on doing Indy. I got limited funds and time off, so I don't want to blow my wad now and find out that Alpine, Minneapolis and/or others come up in the late summer /fall. If not, oh well. I'm sure a lot of people would be happy to make it to just one show if they could. Have a great time wherever u end up!
