Fans in Chicago and Wisconsin - who is roadtripping to go see some shows in May? Which ones are you going to?
I have never traveled to see the band outside of Chicago but now seems like as good as time as ever.
From Chicago you can take the amtrak to Alton which is close to St.Louis for around 40 bucks..I am not sure what it would be for Chicago to STL roundtrip...You can check at amtrak..
I'm opting to stick in the midwest. Having seen them already at MSG and Boston, it seems like there'll be less Ten Clubbers at these shows. Driving to K City, then St Louis, coming back to Chicago and then heading down to Indy for the Friday show. Saw them in Indy in 2000, and it was a fantastic show and I don't remember anything bad about the venue(getting out of the parking lot aside).
I have never seen PJ outside the chicagoland area (alpine included)... I'd love to go to StL or Indy. both are a 4-5 hour drive from the city. However, only my ex-girlfriend shares my love for PJ and I dont wanna go with her. Guess I'll have to wait til the next Chicago stops
Damn my friends for not liking PJ since 1999
I haven't figured out my plans yet, as I'm waiting on one of my girlfriends to decide if she'll roadtrip with me. Because of my schedule (damn grad school) and lack of funds, I'm choosing between Indy and Cleveland, and I'm hoping for MSG I as a good excuse to go home to Philly for a long weekend.
i might opt for indy...if it's outside and i don't get ten club tickets i can just pick up lawn tix; always liked the lawn. either way LIVE PEARL JAM!!!
I myself have never traveled outside Chicago to Pearl Jam either. Planning on driving to Indy (3 1/2hr drive), pending tickets. I would love to do Cleveland as well but I don't think I can get Monday off of work.

Does anyone know if this Megabus thing is ok for white people?

I was going to mention Megabus too. There is a route between Indy and Chicago too. Never taken it before so can't say what it's like, but I think it's cheap.

I had tentatively planned on going to Jazz Fest, but now that they're playing in KC 2 nights later, that's looking like the better option.
Jazz Fest
---
Pros: More Fun in the Quarter. Get to see a ton of bands
Cons: 2 hours of PJ songs max, $500 3 hour flight (minimum), far far worse hangovers due the depravity of the Quarter
KC
---
Pros: Cheaper, Quick Flight, Hotel right next to Sprint Center, 3 hours of PJ, My old home so I still have a ton of friends there, new P&L District surrounding the arena
Cons: No French Quarter and all the things that come with that place
---
Seems like a no-brainer to me. Might also try to get to Indy as well.

I'm looking for someone to split tickets with for Cleveland. My 10C number is a 245xxx. Not great, but good enough to get me in about the front 1/3 to the middle of the floor at most shows.
I live in Plymouth, WI (hour north of Milwaukee). I already have plans to see Noblesville (and have someone to split tickets with for that show) and will be planning on driving from Noblesville to Toledo (little brother lives there) Sat, then doing the Cleveland show Sun. and going back to Toledo before I drive home on Mon.
If anyone wants to split tickets with me PM me.
I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind - E.V.

I just saw how cheap Megabus is from chicago to cleveland and back! I may just have to go there Sunday AM, catch the show and leave on the 1am home! I don't have tickets for any of the shows, but was hoping to find someone with spares (and a better 10C # than my 337xxx)

I rode it in College to Chicago and it was mostly college kids.....that was when gas was $3.50 a gallon, but I haven't been on it recently

That is, if I can get a road trip partner. Waiting on a friend, who doesn't seem to appreciate that I need to know now!!
I'm going to look into Megabus, in the event I end up traveling alone (scary thought). Thanks, whomever, for the tip.

Indy will be a great show, much like the artist formerly known as the world music theater.
I am pumped for St.Louis, they always get great shows too.
only suckable thing is I have to drive back to Chicago after both shows, work one day, mother's day the other....I am going to be a basket case.
room at Cambria Suties Hotel? Check.
car to get me there? Check.
Trying to find someone that wants to go with me? ...Still looking. :x
