I am looking forward to more light in the evening hours, but other than that it has no effect on me. We don't lose or gain any time or light we just shift the timeframe.

I'm fine with the weather changing, (well for us in the PNW we never really got winter...it's like 51° right now), I just don't want the time changing...I'm fine with it being daylight until 10 pm...that just means more time to enjoy the lazy summer nights out BBQing with friends, laying out on the beach, summer concerts outdoors...at the Gorge...

that one hour of sleep makes a huge difference for someone who has issues sleeping. And yea, my cats are not bothered with the time change either. They still wake me up when they want food and take over my bed when they want to sleep there.

^^^ it happens this weekend...blame Bush for that-he made it happen earlier. It used to go until April or something. You could move to Hawaii or Arizona, they totally ignore it.

I completely sympathize with sleep issues: I've had sleep issues since the time change in November, so I am actually hoping this will somehow correct the situation. One can hope.

Yea seriously fuck this DST crap. Just had me and friend confused as hell while we were having dinner. We had an unusually long wait for our food but didn't pay attention to the time - when we left it was "3:15" and we freaked out thinking we had been in there for two hours until we got to her car (without the auto change clock) and saw it was 2:15.

    GRRRR

Yes we do ignore it here in AZ, but Verizon didn't seem to ignore it like it should've and now I'm awake an hour earlier than I should be. Damn.

Thankful for an alarm clock that changes itself. I would've overslept and my husband had a trip to go on today. One of the people he was meeting DID oversleep, but at least it wasn't him. Drat it all with spring ahead. :sleepy:

I LOVE daylight savings time! Now that we've turned the clock up, I don't think we should turn it back in the fall. Who the fuck wants to come home from work and it's already dark at 5:30? I love that it's daylight longer in the evenings. Now, let's leave it be.

There's no reason to turn it back in the fall now. They did that so farmers could harvest their crops in the daylight, but tractors and farm equipment all heave headlights now.

Think of all the energy saving it would create in the winter. You wouldn't have to turn lights on in your house so soon, you could keep the heat down a few degrees until it gets dark, etc.

    uh no.

we change our clocks in a challenging more fun way. we spin 'em randomly 1798 times a year & do not allow full hrs, there must be at least 37 min minimum in difference. its never 6am around here. 6am is 12:57pm. then we spin it to screw things up again. this is so much fun
