Same idea here, going to make the trip from Chi-Indy.
Weird, this is the same place I saw my 1st ever PJ show in 2000, this will be my 10th and I've never been to this venue for any other shows.
May do the Chi-Indy trip also!!!???? :crazy:0 -

I can't believe I'm reading this drivel. gimme a break.
I can't believe you can read. Please, elaborate on why it's "drivel"?The boyz n tha hood are always hard.0 -
very very glad for midwest dates, it was about time!!!
i will be sitting out this tour (unless additional dates are announced in Florida).. but I sure am very glad for the mid-western fans
I wish everyone all the luck with tkts!"Without the album covers, where do you clean your pot?" - EV0 -
There is a large gap May 22 - June 21. Perhaps a Southern tour based on the success of the Midwest/East leg?
Can someone from the club help us to avoid bankrupcy!?

Guess Atlanta is never getting a Pearl Jam date again. Oh well, glad other bands don't hold the same opinion since it's a great music city.0

I've always bought a couple stickers before each ticket sale since it seems the system gets tweaked every tour but never told anyone about it. Funny they 10c is recommending it.0

WOO HOO!!! BOSTON AND NYC!!!!"...And I fight back in my mind. Never lets me be right.
I got memories. I got shit so much it don't show."0 -
Anyone uh have any idea what the prices would be like...?
You know, just in case I get really lucky not getting caught robbing a bank this weekend? heehee...
It's mostly likely will not happen (robbing the bank, that is)...but would like to know anyway....JA: Why do I get the Ticketmaster question?
EV: It's your band.

i'm happy for the midwest though
+1
I get -and appreciate- that the band wants to play places they love to go to and are doing things their way. I really do. But it's very frustrating as a fan of the band to sit here and watch them play places like MSG many, many times over before playing Atlanta. They will have played MSG seven times since their last Atlanta stop. When Vedder played his solo shows here he seemed to imply that they'd play here. I've been in Atlanta since 1998 and have only been able to see them here ONCE (they played here a second time but I was on my honeymoon). Can't they just throw us a bone once and a while. I mean, it's not that bad of a place. They recorded the last album here. Heck, Id' even drive to a place like Nashville. But nothing. Nothing close, other that Jazz Fest. I will be there, but seeing them with another 60K people is not as good as their arena shows (the sound alone). Oh well, hopefully they come here during another leg of the tour...
Yeah that's what makes it frustrating. Vedder said on the Atlanta stop of tour last summer that he would "see us in September". But of course that date never happen and now no Atlanta again. I've seen them every time they have played here since the mid 90s and they have always sold out the venue. There were easily 20,000 fans at Philips Arena in 2000 and they sold out Lakewood in 2003. It's just weird they never play a huge city that is a major music city as well. Every other band plays there. Got Pavement tickets the other day for their reunion tour and Alice in Chains played two dates here because their first date sold out so fast.0 -

Pearl Jam is not a non-profit. Touring is how these guys make money, because it ain't from selling millions of CDs anymore. The northeast corridor has many large, wealthy, population centers close together where they can maximize their earnings from the shows while minimizing their time on the road away from their families. It's not the fault of the 10c that it's not 1998 anymore and that the business model has changed.
I'd love to see shows all over the US, but there are more things that go into a tour than just ideas about what's "fair". I for one am just happy they are still headlining MSG and not opening for Nickleback.0 -

I understand why they tour where they do, I don't agree with vague promises of a tour being put out by 10c to compell me to renew membership. There's no reason it couldn't have been released that this tour was east coast/midwest ONLY before the actual dates came out. I understand your first reply now though, as your post attests you really know your drivel. The boyz n tha hood are always hard.0 -
