Might be a silly question. Any club members here in Columbus area who can't stay for the show but plan to get tickets anyway to sell off? If so, here's a buyer. At face value, of course. ;)

Damn, just realized that I'll be on a plane from OGG to HNL at the exact time that the 2nd MSG show goes on sale. That's the only one I can probably get to.

yeah I think they should give each of us a call so we can coordinate our calendars. I mean if money is short I should have time to find a second job and make some cash before they actually set any dates.
    :?

    :lolno:
I really cant stand smart ass people. Some of us live pay check to pay check. All I was saying is a little more of a heads up would be nice.

My advice: don't live in the middle of nowhere. Not trying to be some arrogant NYC resident here but things look this way for the following reason (which to me seems pretty obvious): 48% of the country lives in the eastern time zone, 29% Central, 6.5% Mountain, and 16.5% West. If roughly 3/4 of the country lives east of the Mississippi, you can understand pretty clearly why so many places are left out west of it. You people in Atlanta - I can understand your bitching, and even Phoenix if it has been 7yrs (seems like a stop they could have made en route to/from Austin this past Fall between the CA dates, honestly). I guess my point is if you want to see PJ (or any other band!) play a show in your area, try relocating to where the action is and stop complaining.
I was going to rip into this until you posted that you were a Viking fan, so I'll play nice. I'm not going to move to NYC or whatever just to see a concert from time to time. I am proud to be from small town MN where there are hard working people and the living is easy. PJ has been within a couple hours distance from me countless times over the years, but none since 2006. And don't say Chicago because it's a 10-12 hour drive one way from where I live, and if I'm driving for that long it's not going to be just for a 2 hour concert. There would need to be something else going on that the entire family would enjoy, including my young children.

Your advice may work on young single people, but not for those of us that have careers and families. And it doesn't matter where the majority population is, because the majority of that majority could care less about PJ. They also get a lot more bands coming through town so they can pick and choose. Concerts DO sell out in this area, including PJ. They would have no problems selling out wherever they play. Hell, Bon Jovi was just in my area (middle of nowhere) and they sold out a 20,000 seat arena right away. The venue even opened up cheap-ass seats BEHIND the stage once it sold out. I don't know who would buy tickets behind the stage, but that is proof that there are people willing to see their favorite bands (or just have something to do on a Saturday night) no matter what part of the country they live in.

And NO didn't beat MN. MN beat MN. They just didn't want it. If they did there wouldn't have been 17 turnovers.

I'm definitely not saying NYC or Boston or Philly shouldn't get picked, but why 4 nights in a row? Or why 4 nights in a row on one tour and then less than 1 year, yet again 3 shows within 3 hours of Philly? I get the demographics and logistics of it all, but as has been said, other bands routinely hit more than 1 region, and I'd like to think PJ, the last great American rock band, can do it too, with ease. I refuse to believe its cost that's driving this; if so, then I seriously need to rethink the admiration I give this band. After 20 successful years, I'd like to think they're doing fine and can shoulder the "cost" of putting on shows in more than one town. It isn't like they're doing it for free...
I agree.I live in NYC.We do have it good with the best bands playing here alot.Im a huge fan of U2,DMB and PJ.This same argument I have with a friend in Ireland.U2 play more in NYC than Ireland. Why is that ??? There 2010 European tour is bypassing Ireland. It happens.PJ played 4 nights in L.A. I had to drive 100 miles to see them in Philly this past Oct.My thing is this.....why are they not touring more for this great cd???? They only played a few shows after the cd was released in Sept. I have seen the band many times since 1996.This is the first time Im buying tix with the 10 club.If you get seats..do you know what type of seats you have??
2010 Euro tour bypassing Ireland? I take it geography is not your strong point?

Why 4 nights in a row? Spectrum was being closed down and they were invited to have the honour of doing it. Was it not clear?
115 bucks for half a haircut by a novice? I want my money back!

You're right - I'm 29 and single, have a fine career and make plenty of money to support myself, and lastly can basically go as I please wherever/whenever I want when it comes to things like going and seeing bands I like. Just last weekend, I went to MUSE at MSG on a Friday night and the following day drove up to Boston to see them again that night...simply because I am at a point in my life where doing things like that is a priority and I have the flexibility to keep them that way. I probably go to 90-100 concerts a year and don't have to leave Manhattan for 80% of those. That is a luxury and I am well aware of that. I also wouldn't trade it for anything either, not right now at least.

At the end of the day, I'm of the opinion that any touring band would like nothing more than to play in each and every city across this country where they have fans, but this isn't 1990 PJ anymore and places like Rochester and Omaha and Providence and Wichita and Tempe and Boulder I doubt will see their own shows ever again. That said, as long as I live where I currently live I never have to consider things like what it feels like to be snubbed which is a luxury I fully acknowledge. I grew up Syracuse NY, and you can add that to the list of places that they've played before and never will again (along with too many other bands to count). I'm too spoiled now to ever live there again (but at the same time knew in 1998 when I finished high school that would eventually be the case). If I still lived there, I could relate to how you feel about being passed by because I'd be pretty used to it too by now only I'd have even less reason to be since Syracuse is significantly smaller in size and therefore more deserving to be routinely passed by. Best thing you can do is hope to get added to the next announcement, while I'll continue to play the odds that I'm going to always end up as part of the announcement. I think of my rent here costing what it does because it includes a permanent cover charge/fun tax built into it to keep things rolling into town, and I plan on paying it indefinitely to make sure I've got a full calendar of things to attend, enjoy, and remember always...usually within a 10mincab ride home, too.

Lastly, your assessment of the NFC Championship game (which I'm still crying over) is 100% accurate and still pisses me off. 3wks 'til baseball season...

Dammit, I'm going to Buffalo, probably the second most in demand show of the entire tour. It wouldn't matter either because I'm 451xxx. Ahh such is life.

My g/f and I will be around the Chicago area on holiday at this time so we're going to try and get 10C tix for the St Louis show... maybe Kansas City. We leave for home on the 7th of May so these are the only shows we'll be able to get to... i'm not complaining though. The tour has worked in beautifully with our holiday.

I'm doing a contiki tour around the same time they tour, and both of our tours (PJ and mine) are in Cleveland at the same time, so that'll be my show, assuming I can get tickets for it.
