It's NBC and Jay's fault. It's NBC's fault because Jeff Zucker doesn't know what the fuck he's doing at all. Jay's fault for not saying, "No, this is Conan's time and I don't want to ruin anything" and not leaving TV and just do his stand up somewhere. He didn't have to stay on TV. So, his show's ratings hurt the local news ratings, which hurt Conan's ratings.

And it's Conan's fault for accepting a NBC's offer when Jay Leno was still dominating the ratings. Did Conan say "Well Jay is still number one , so I cant take his job. Obviously he still wants to work since he is taking his show to 10pm. I dont want to be the one who forces Jay out, I will go to another network."

you can like Conan more than Jay, that is fine. But dont think Conan is the good guy in this whole thing, because he is not. If anyone is , it's jay. he did what his boss told him to do 5 years ago, even though he didnt want to and remained loyal to the company. his loyalty was rewarded with a 10pm show. then when Conan didnt bring in the numbers that jay did, NBC fixed their mistake and gave the show back to Jay, who didnt want to leave in the first place.

Actually it was the affiliates complaining about the record low ratings at 10 pm that forced NBC to make a move. The local news channels for NBC were getting killed in local markets because no one was watching the lead-in.

Since PJ will not be coming to CA this time around, just grabbed my tickets for CoCo at Gibson Amp. 3 days before my 30th birthday!

so Conan is the bad guy for wanting Jay and NBC to follow through on their agreements? That is insane logic... are you actually Jay Leno right now posting here? Because I think he's the only one in the country that feels like Conan is the bad guy.

I dont think Conan is the bad guy. But if you want to call Jay the bad guy, Conan is just as bad.

yes this is also true. NBC was trying to save money by putting Jay on at 10pm, and it backfired. So they did the smartest thing they could do. Give Jay back the 11:30 spot.

Jays not a bad guy, he just has no self respect. When NBC Pushed him out at 1130 he should have gone to another nework and he would have probably beat conan head to head. Instead he went along with NBC and did whatever they wanted him to do and did the 10 o clock show. Then when they Cancelled his 10 o clock show he again did whatever NBC wanted and went back to 11:30. This company Fired him and instead of standing up and having some Pride and self respect he just went along with them.

    I can't argue with that.

One other thing I'd add is that with Leno the contract was specific to the 10PM show so he had a lot more room to work with NBC than Conan did. So that's another reason why I like to think of Leno as a bad guy in this, even though its more NBC's fault than Leno's.

Did anybody else think it was weird that the tickets went on sale the day the show was announced, I've not seen that before. And did anybody else out there pull out the cash to pay for the meet and greet package?
