  • I'm not surprised by the "Ed story"..that's part of the reason i love this band..these guys are truly down to earth class acts!!

hard work and perseverance always pays off!! I'm glad Ed inspired you to finish strong!

also thank you for doing something with a camera that is worthwhile and not just trying to pump out the typical crap you see nowadays!

Thanks everybody for the great posts. I'll be sure to keep updating the board with new information about the film whenever possible.

It's interesting, a few people have asked if Eddie helped us contact Sean Penn and the answer is no. We approached Sean separately before we even knew about Into the Wild. Then, as we were waiting to hear back from Sean, I started to read about the friendship these two men had. I figured they knew each other from the Dead Man Walking days...heck these guys know just about everybody...but to read about them collaborating on a project at the same time as we were working with them was totally bizarre. Personally, I think Into the Wild should have been recognized as the best picture of last year.

As I mentioned a few pages back. We're going to screen the film at the Denver Film Festival on November 20th and 21st. Come check it out if you're in the area. Then, we're planning a huge northern California premiere for the end of February. That one may even be a benefit for the Innocence Project as well. I can't say much more about it yet, but I'll keep you posted.

Ok, Don...step away from my dream right now....!!

    ;)

But I mean it though, you are living my dream. Not even the Ed and Sean part (although nice complimentary icing on the cake), but making a documentary.....ohhh jealousy!

I am still juggling with ideas and am having a hard time taking steps. I am only a novice at filmmaking. But I'll get there.
If you have an intership opening or if you need someone to pour your coffee and carry your suitcases, let me know!!

You should definitely try IDFA in Holland (Amsterdam). It is very popular here. I am going to see some documentaries next week. So come over for some networking and we'll grab a coffee together :)

Wishing you a lot of SUCCES!
    Greetings, Francisca.
Why not be mediocre and be the best at it that you can be?

  • Your story melted my my heart (yes, I'm a straight man) and made my eyes burn with the little pinpricks of rising water (you know what I mean).
Could be that I read it just after watching the VFC movie available here, or maybe just the mood I'm in.
However, it is one of the best stories I've read in a long time, not counting the last Dean Koontz or Neil Gaiman publications.
I'm so glad the band I chose as MY BAND 17 years ago was the right one.
Good evening San Diego, I'm Ron Burgundy
