I'm hoping this is right, or at least the Indy part-- I would be fine with it being at Verizon Wireless (aka Deer Creek) or at Conseco. Nothing is on the calendar for Conseco, and they definitely don't have to worry about a playoff game that day!

Well if not Alpine then Alpine's ugly brother Deer Creek then. :D

That could be a very cold night of camping at Deer Creek. First week of May. Weather is risky around this time of year. Pearl Jam may not want to do this after the infamous "Ice Bowl" show I attended at Alpine the first week of October.

For the record, if it's true, weather would not stop me from being there. Hope is a wonderful thing.

Yea you like everybody else knows a guy. Tickets go on sale way ahead of 2 months in advance. BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!
You should get your facts straight before going off on a rant. The FACT is that in 2006, PJ did a May US/Canada tour. Tickets for that tour went on sale pretty much 2 months in advance of the shows. I bought my Toronto tickets on March 8, 2006 for shows on May 9th and 10th.
Typically tickets do go on sale more than 2 months in advance, but not always. And not always with Pearl Jam.

I'm not ranting but it seems everyone knows someone who knows someone who says pearl jam is playing here. It's been going on for 2 months and every single person has been wrong. When this doesn't pan out there will be another thread in 2 weeks saying another time and another date.

pretty sure that they have fri night shows all the time. dmb is friday and sat night this year..... usually have buffett shows on weeknights (but i think he's a weekend this year) don't think outdoors on a friday is an issue.

SPAC has shows on Tuesday nights all the time too. you'd think they'd put a restriction on tuesday nights before friday nights. I think the curfew pretty much takes care of any restrictions

I saw Kings of Leon there in the fall on a Friday night and there weren't any restrictions. They played an awesome show, and the crowd even sang along with their earlier stuff. If KOL played there in the rain then Pearl Jam can play there in the cold (besides, early May shouldn't be that bad).

I remember being freaked out in 2000 on the way to Deer Creek. Traffic was so bad we missed the opening band, actually we could hear them while we were sitting on the off ramp. Then driving down that small road with the cornstalks so close to us. Parking and then running to get inside. No kidding we got inside found our seats and 10 seconds later the lites went out and PJ hit the stage. And the rest is history. :)

Deer Creek sure has some history like 1995 when Dead fans stormed the place.

Ice Bowl was such a great show. Maybe not the best setlist but it was just so dam special in so many ways. I'll never forget it. :)

I didn't tailgate just parked and went inside. I was meeting up with my ticket buddy and friends. There was no lines at all for beer. lol Walking towards the venue I remember saying and thinking how freaking cold it is for a concert. hehehe :)

Funny thing is concerts before and after that one at Alpine were really hot. 90 or higher if I remember correctly. Beer went down much easier.

The 1998 shows yea it was hot both days. The 2003 show it was warm and sunny during the day and then it turned into a beautiful nite.

Sorry were so sidetracking this thread. lol

Anyway if not Alpine then ok Deer Creek but why not both ;)
