Pearl Jam are trying to put a show together at New York's central park- which will be part of the bands 20th anniversary celebrations. The show will not take place when the band head out on an East coast tour this May. Instead the band are pushing for a July/August date.

This would have more weight if the thread title was preceded by the word, REVEALED! I'm still glad I didn't buy T In The Park tickets on the strength of your sources.

  • The Easter Bunny, Peter Pan and the Tooth Fairy have already been lined up as special guests. This has been pulled from a very credible source - my butt

Somehow, people on here would still complain about not being able to get "tickets" to an event like this if it were true.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
  • If only you all know what goes behind the scenes. The T in the Park farce was Pearl Jam's until the shite that is Kasabian offered to do the gig for almost a half price fee. Music is business, and the promoters have very little regard for what Scottish fans really want. This gig was good as official. You may say whay you will but when PJ hit New York for their 20th anniversary celebrations this will thread will be fun to read. Enjoy the summer. PJ 4 LIFE!!

I hope it's true. More gigs the better. But I won't be complaing that I don't get tickets, I live in Sydney, so there is no chance of me going.

I admire your confidence at least. You are possibly in the know but maybe you could give a clue or two as to where you get this stuff from? Your East coast May tour rumour hasn't taken much shape yet? Reveal yourself :?

    How so?
If the city could handle 980,000 there for Garth Brooks, it should handle the 45,000 for PJ.

A nightmare? I'll take the traffic if they play like they did. Hardly a nightmare. Well worth it. Better than booze-free, drug-free, fun-free, view-free, Central Park.
