thoughts?

just been listening to Natural Born Killers soundtrack which i love... :thumbup:
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    as far as soundtracks that totally just lend to and enhance a film; goodfellas. scorsese is brilliant at that shit, the best maybe

    best soundtracks to listen as an album or compilation or whatever? prince's batman (witch also really helped set a great tone for that film) and singles

    i had soundracks galore when i was a kid in the 80s. probably every john hughes movie, repo man, lost boys soundtrack. think i had 'the big chill' on CD and casette.

    a few soundtracks i think are awesome (i can't pick a 'best')

    pulp fiction (no brainer)-actually, throw in res dogs, jackie brown, and both kill bills - good tunes in there

    One of the best. The mixture of music styles and narrative is brilliant. I haven't played it for years but think I'd better drag it out.

    royal tenanbaums-arguably the reason elliott smith is as well liked and respected as he is right now. the whole sensitive singer songwriter thing is really en vogue right now, elliott definitely is a top influence to alot of these folks

    It just doesn't make sense.

    The reason....because the songs were written specifically for this movie. Like ITW was. The other shit is just a compilation of good songs written over several decades. Who can't put together a mixed tape? It takes an artist to create original shit for a single project. Don't act like you haven't sang every lyric to that album. I went and saw Prince on that tour. And I was 9 years old.

    Of a very different style but still one of the best soundtrack out there is Passion (Music from The last temptation of Christ) by Peter Gabriel. Mostly instrumental and with various world music influences. IMO, just great. Check it out.
