AGREE! Please Mark, hit up the East Coast. Those lucky bastards overseas better record and youtube the shit out of the upcoming solo tour...
I was late to the Soulsavers party, but better late then never!! It would be cool to see Lanegan solo, the Tom Waits of our generation...

I would assume so as well, at the very least...acoustic doesn't mean no backing band. I think noting that it's solo may just be to distinguish the material from his (MANY) other projects.
You gonna get to see him Rands?
(Shawn Smith's official website, but not Thee Shawn Smith)
Yeah that's what I thought, I saw him 'solo' many years ago and he still had a band. I'm just soooo looking forward to seeing his solo material again!
Manc tickets bought, waiting to see if I can make the Oran Mor gig too!

Apparently Dave Rosser will be playing guitar for him. He's one of the producers of the Gutter Twins' album.
My pleasure fred i cant wait for this, this year is looking good on the gig front what with pj, lanegan, idlewild, hold steady and 3rd eye blind, just hope the eels and mr petty make the trip over the pond

Don't think I will go this time. I've seen him with the Screaming Trees in 1995, with his solo band in 2003, electric with the Gutter Twins in 2008 and acoustic with the Gutter Twins in 2009. Not really a fan of his solo stuff. And I've met him and all that before, so I don't need to get shit signed. My friends in Idlewild are playing the same venue on the same night (they're doing the big upstairs room and Lanegan's doing the tiny basement room), so I think I'll go to Idlewild.
A note for those attending the Lanegan Dublin show: that room is small, with a stage about 6 inches high. Get there early and get the front, or you won't see shit. Don't say you weren't warned.
2007 - London
2009 - London, Manchester, London
2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London
2011 - Alpine Valley x2
2012 - Isle of Wight, Manchester x2
Need a ticket??

And the stage only faces a small section of the whole room, shit layout for a show...but on the other hand its very intimate if you're near the front!
Wish I'd known about this one before buying Manc tickets - ah well should still be awesome!
Still have that spare Manc ticket if anyone needs it.

Yeah, I did have that in mind when I proposed my idea.
I say he just does an all night gig and plays both albums.

Can't wait....
Mark's performance was amazing, I just wish it were longer. I'd love to know why he's not doing any Screaming Trees material, Dying Days would make me wet myself. I just realised Twain is a very early Screaming Trees track and not an early solo track, so I stand corrected. Still some Sweet Oblivion/Dust material would be nice.
I had a brief, awkward chat with Mark prior to soundcheck which was... nice?

Lanegan's voice was astounding tonight!! 2 Trees songs which were a treat! His performance was pure perfection, can't wait to see him in Glasgow tomorrow night too! Lighting was too poor for photos (don't like using flash at the best of times, but especially not with someome like Mark) so I put the camera away and just enjoyed the gig!
