    Man Of The Hour . . .

It came on in my car earlier this week . . . . Within the confines of my car I was, probably for the first time to be honest, able to really listen to the song . . . . I listened to it two more times in a row afterwards. Never realized actually how beautiful the song is.... never gave it a true chance

Off he goes. A song i think saved the band. ed basically admitting to being a pr**k when things got hectic during v's and vitalogy. this song proved to the band that ed was saying sorry. next lp was you know what, their best. just my 2 cents. an absoultely amazing song. didnt listen to it for a while and put on the live version from the ice bowl in 2000. wow!!!

i wish i wish i wish i wish, i guess it never stops

my recent PJ song rediscovery was also through the Live At the Garden DVD...opener "Love Boat Captain," an amazing version that gives a lot of life to the song that it might lack on the album..."let the show begin..." Shivers!

I'm not sure if it ever went away but since I don't listen to Ten that often and it's not on that many boots I'd kind of forgotten about Oceans but when it was thrown in mid-set in Melbourne it was like hearing it for the first time again. I love this version and I'm off to put it on right now :D

green disease and present tense for me. pretty cool that they were also the first two songs mentioned on this thread 8-) .

i always loved present tense, live and studio, but a couple years ago it just re-clicked and went to another level, i guess it's that i'm older now and the lyrics have hit home a little differently or something. "...are we getting something out of this all encompassing trip?" and "do you see the way that tree bends? does it inspire?" before they were just words now it's like, take some time to smell the roses and enjoy what is going on around you.

green disease was always a song i liked, but seeing it on the dvd for the 1000th time it just clicked. now it is one of my favs on RA and i really appreciate it more than i used to.
