if they do anything in PA - it will be the Philly area, whether it's Philly itself or south Jersey, which might as well be Philly

they will not skip Philly just because they just did four shows here.

I'd be shocked if they skip Pittsburgh again, although a State College show may mean that Pit gets skipped. I also would be very surprised to see Detroit & Cleveland skipped, especially if there turns out to be 14 or 15 shows.

  • I dont think PJ will play Albany this year if they do a short East Coast tour. Although they will finally make their return to the Saratoga Springs for the first time since 2000! Heres to hoping PJ plays the Saratoga Performing Arts Center!

If the band does decide to play in the states in late spring/early summer before heading over seas, it's more than likely they'll play in Camden rather than in Philadelphia. ;)

ugh i would be fine with skipping camden. i love the lot/atmosphere but the venue just is no good. especially when there is a perfectly good Wachovia Center across the river. Or the Mann Center!

but its hard to justify skipping the 20-25K Camden then going for the 7500 Mann or 17K Wachovia (soon to be Wells Fargo) Center
    Wachovia Center, Philadelphia - 10/3/05
    Tweeter Center, Camden - 5/27/06
Verizon Center, Wash. DC - 5/30/06
    Bonnaroo, Manchester, TN - 6/14/08
Madison Square Garden, NYC - 6/19/08
    Spectrum, Philadelphia - 10/28/09
    Spectrum, Philadelphia - 10/30/09
    Spectrum, Philadelphia - 10/31/09
Madison Square Garden, NYC - 5/21/10
Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia - 10/21/13
    1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore - 10/27/13
Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia - 4/28/16

I love the Mann Center as well & that would be an extremely great place to have a show. I'm just going by the pattern over the last few years besides 2007, they've been playing the Tweeter or whatever they call it now a days during the spring/summer months. At this point, I'll go anywhere to hear them play in the states. But, there's nothing like hearing the band play here in Pa/NJ, if you know what I mean? ;)

I don't want to jinx anything with all these rumors of an East Coast tour, but, I would love to see the band play in Montana. Now, that would be an amazing experience! A little hiking, exploring, river rafting, fishing & a show to top it all off. That sounds sooo great.

To be real honest with you, I have absolutely no concrete information about anything when it comes to touring. It's more like a feeling, intuition when they're gonna be coming back here to play. My intuition feels right on that they will be here on the East Coast at the end of May/early June. I do hope we all get what were asking for. ;)

    Hi Speedy,

I hit IHOP today but didn't get the pancakses...My buddy did get the free pancakes..I am trying to drop a few lbs...

I can see an east coast tour happening..But, I have my doubts that they will do many shows in the south..Unless it is a festival show...

I love the band pearl jam and always will...But, they have changed a lot in the past the few years...The band and ten club use to be all about the fan club members...Now I think it is all about where they can make big money at...Why do you they play MSG, Boston and the other east coast cities so much...Also, why are they playing so many festivals...

I just think pearl jam will strictly be a festival band and huge market city touring band...Just like it is now..

I am not behind the scence..So, I can't say why they are cutting back on which cities they want to play..But, it all points directly to making the big money..

  • The Philly/Camden area is a gimmie for selling out a PJ show. But lets face it, Camden is a toilet, they should slide east a fuzz and sell out the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Just hop onto 42 east and then the Atlantic City Expressway.

To my knowldge there has never been an Albay rumour. Nor has there been a Buffalo, Virginia, DC, NC, SC or a credible NJ or Atlanta rumour. You can debate the TN rumour too.

The only cities from the above list with real, seemingly credible rumours are State College, Hartford, NYC, Boston and Tampa (sort of). There was also a Chicago rumour a while back that everyone seems to be ignoring - it even had a somewhat specific date of (the weekend of) May 29th.
