    i got game 1 96 world cup of hockey final going right now. game 2 and 3 and miracle on ice are up next. all 4 games i'm watching are on vhs.

    Yeah, if it's a close game Canada will probably tighten up before the US does...SO much pressure on them. However, being a Pens fan I can't really doubt Crosby. The bigger the stage, the better he seems to get, and he seems to own Ryan Miller.

    I am so excited for tonights game! The Canada Swiss game sure was a nail biter though. Canada played well, I can't remember what the shots were, but if I remember correctly, the shot differential was pretty vast. But the Swiss played amazing. Hiller was outstanding! I think that having a tough time with them might be exactly what the boys needed. I'm predicting 5-3 for our Canadian Boys!!!

    Feisty centre David Backes warned that his American side could get “embarrassed” by the Canadians if it doesn’t work hard and avoid turnovers.

    “We’ll see what we’re made of,” Backes said.

    Backes, for one, has put his knuckles where his mouth is, so to speak. He has fought, in the NHL this season, no fewer than three Canadian Olympians: Nash, Jonathan Toews and Corey Perry.


    I hope Perry, Toews and Nash let their goal scoring do all the talking tonight. I never really considered those three Canadians as fighters, even though I think Perry is a little more feisty.

    Guys like Backes can get away with stuff like this because of the 3rd man in rule. I miss the days of Kocur, Probert, McSorley and Semenko, those guys patroled the ice and kept punks like Backes in their place.
