That would have been my choice to be honest. It got me into rock music and it is seriously a flawless album with some of the biggest anthems you'll hear. I don't get why people diss this band so much. Yea, Liam is a dickhead, but if you get over that the band has some amazing songs and a lot of them are on this. I don't get all the hate. It's a great album. It could be debated whether it's the best in 30 years, but it'd certainly be my choice

    Why 30 years?

Why the arbitrary period of time?

I'm guessing they just did it to rule out bands like the Beatles, Zeppelin, The Who (any of their top album candidates anyway), Cream, etc. I would think they would've ruled that list if eligible but then again a lot of great, well known albums from the past 30 years were left off the list so maybe they wouldn't have.

So true. Parachutes is easily their best effort.

    Oh get over yourself. ;)

You know Justin Hawkins in a cat suit singing "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" is about as awesome as it gets. If not that, it's easily more awesome than Oasis.

yeah that would probably be mine too.

To be fair, from that list, even I would have probably voted the Oasis album, and I'm not much of a fan at all, save the odd couple of tunes.

Any album that has "Sussudio" should win awards by default.
  • To be honest, looking at the nominees, I'm glad Oasis got it.

Radiohead weren't in there because they're shit

Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
