You are right about Burriss, but when have any games been a breeze especially against someone like Kershaw. He beat us 4 times last year. He won 2-1,1-0,1-0, and 1-0. Not very high scoring at all. Glad we could finally get to him at his home. Glad to see Posey and Crawford starting some great double plays last night.

the giants suck right now and probably will for the rest of the season. waiting for the 3-run homer was never a great way to win games, but at least it's a possibility when you have big bats in your lineup. right now, we have none...zero, zip, zilch, nada. I can appreciate wanting to build a team around pitching but, damn, I miss the likes of mays, mccovey, cepeda, clark, williams, mitchell, bonds.....

This team has serious issues. Let’s run down a few…

Belt is starting to look like he’s going to be a bust. Can’t hit with power or in pressure situations.
Burriss is not a major league player, his career OPS is a joke.
Crawford is not a major league player either. Can’t hit and his defense has been terrible.
Culberson??? I just don’t see it, his wife is pretty hot, that’s about the only plus of having him around, they keep showing her.
Huff is probably finished, sad but true, he’s taking up a valuable roster spot.
Freddy is probably never coming back, I’d be surprised if he ever plays another inning at 2B.
Theriot is garbage, Fontenot or Keppenger would have been was better.
Pagan is a below average defensive CF and it’s nearly cost of 3 games.
Nate is playing himself off the team, we've seen his best and it's not a starting MLB outfielder.
Posey is not a cleanup hitter, I love the guy, he's an All Star catcher but not a #4 hitter on a good offense.
Timmy might just have a down season, tired of waiting for the real Timmy to show, maybe this is the real Timmy.
The bullpen isn’t what it was in years past, obviously the loss of Wilson is huge.
Bochy is playing the Right/Left thing to death, why not let Pill have an AB vs a RHP?
Minor League System doesn’t offer much help, Panik, & Brown have some potential and we also have 3 good catching prospects, maybe trade bait?

^^^^ sadly, I can't argue with much of what you said

bochy's mixing and matching drives me crazy, too. I still think/hope the G's have enough talent to contend for a playoff spot in the mostly putrid NL.

They'll contend, some things are still looking up...

Cain & Madison are a lethal 1-2 punch. Vogelsong is a strong #3.
Pablo will be back soon.
Melky is a hitting machine.


The NL is awful, LA will fall back to earth soon without Kemp, rest of the division is bad. I still think we should be one of the top 5 teams in the NL by seasons end. Wouldn't be so bad to finish in the wild card, then throw Cain or Madbum in the 1 game playoff. Then thanks to Bud we would open the NLDS at home.
