I think most of us GIANTS fan know it's over for 2015. really, all the DL time for pence, panik, pagan, cain, aoki and peavy was too much to overcome. I'll look at the positives:

the emergence of duffy
the departure of fat, spoiled, overpaid, .240 hitting panda
panik showing he's for real
belt's continued development
tomlinson
pence, when healthy
madbum showing no ill effects of last postseason's workload
some good new arms in the bullpen
no postseason = much needed rest

I hope they can bring leake back. he's pitched great in 3 of 4 starts. who the hell knows where cain is? I gotta think timmy is done as a giant. he should take his 3 rings and 2 cys and retire. peavy is still a bulldog but with mixed results. I think we'll be good next year.

I have to agree the team is probably excited for 2016. The big one you missed Rob was Crawford becoming the top all around shortstop in baseball. I never thought I would hear 20 mil per year and Crawford in the same sentence but that is what they are saying he will be worth in 2 years when he hits FA. His numbers every year have gotten better. Panik is for real Rumors are they really want to re-sign Leake and they will probably go after Price. Between Lincecum, Hudson and Vogey we have close to 40 million coming off the books. Imagine if we had a rotation of MadBum, Price, Leake, Helton and Peavy. My god that would be great. Plus we could see Crick finally next season. 2016 is an even year so it will be our time yet again.

Hell no. He sells a shit load of jerseys and they are involving him more in promotions out there. He has said he couldn't imagine playing anywhere else and we take care of our own guys. No way he ends up somewhere else. My guess is he takes a 5 year 100 mil extension next season.

I'm not sure TOR will let price go. they are a big market team that played like they were small market for 20 years. back in their glory days, they were drawing 4M fans/year and could do it again (even if it is canada!)

You are probably right on Price. I also read a rumor the team likes Zimmerman. To that I say please no. Someone is going to pay Zimmerman as if he was a #2 even though he is a #3. I would rather they just go after Leake and try and get Crick up to the major leagues. At some point you have to let him fail or make it. He has been in the minors long enough.

Great article on ESPN talking about how Giants are set for another run in 2016. The rise of Duffy and Heston. Beadle should be on the major league roster for 2016. Pence will be healthy, panik also. Rotation right now is MadBum, Heston, Peavy and then hopefully beadle. We should have close to 70 million in opened up salary to chase price or Greinke and an outfield upgrade. The Giants gave up on Crick as a starter and moved him to pen. He hits 100 regularly and has been devastating in that role. 2016 should be good.

If everyone stays healthy & the young guys continue to produce there's no reason they won't be a threat next season. Heck, they've remained competitive this entire season despite the plethora of injuries.

I'd have a hard time rooting for that cross-eyed motherfucker Grienke.

Leake's start yesterday makes me wonder......he was kicking ass in Cincy. Course, so was Cueto. funny how easy it is to pitch when the team has no expectaions. see: benitez, a. marlins.
