Neither Dave A. nor Matt Cam have anything on Jack Irons. PJ was at their creative peak with Jack. The chemistry was perfect.

Matt played on other people's albums! How lame is that? It's called being a "session drummer". Lots of drummers (some of the best) have done it. It doesn't mean they're making some kind of profund collaboration. So stop being douchebags.
Sorry dude, you are missing the point.

Why the hell would Matt play with some of the biggest douche bags in music. One of whom openly brags about the fact that he used to put his own junk in his mouth.

I can't think of any better way to submit my 500th post than to second this comment. The Jack years were the peak.

Personally, I cant listen to any boots with jack on them. The drumming is just unlistenable. Way too heavy on the bass drum. Matt uses the cymbals much better than Jack.

matt cameron also did drum tracks for smashing pumpkins and drummed for the entire solo album by geddy lee, you know, the singer from rush, the band with neil peart, regarded as one of the best drummers in rock, and matt played on it, thats awesome, and yes i realize this is one big run-on sentance.

if you dont like matt cameron i i don't understand you. he has more energy than any other drummer they had.
Ya left out a little band called soundgarden....I agree Matt rock's,and it's not because he's the current drummer, but because the guy has talent..
Now we got a fuckin fight up here, what there's a republican in the audience, what's going on? Eddie(Randell's Island N.Y 96)

The only person's opinion that really matters is Ed's, and he clearly digs Matt. Studio wise- I dig Jack the best, but live, Matt is clearly the most consistent and tightest.

I don't know what it means to "dig yourself through the center of the earth", but if I understand the point you are trying to make, seems like you are comparing apples and oranges my friend.

I'm just a little embarassed that the current drummer of Pearl Jam likes to colaborate with the likes of ball sucking nickleback, saliva, and our lady peace.

Dave A. is the best PJ drummer ever.

I was just watching VH1's best week ever, and they mentioned that the lead singer for Nickleback did an interview with Playboy, and told the magazine he used to...um..."pleasure himself": http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/article896767.ece

I wanted to confirm the accuracy of said outlandish claim--and I discovered on Wikipedia that Matt Cameron performed with him, and fellow douche bag lead singer from Saliva, for a song on the Spiderman soundtrack: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_Kroeger

Why have I never heard this? How is this acceptable?
This has been discussed before during the Riot Act era.

BTW, is it true that Matt couldn't make it to the the video shoot so the drummer from that sh!tty Canadian band, Our Lady Peace fulled in the set?

*I wonder if Matt missed it purposely because he didn't want any of the Jammers see him in a video with Nickelback + Saliva ;)

you are saying you're embarrased that he's a drummer for a living. and people have to work to make a living, some like what they do moreso than others and will work when they technically don't have to

I'm sure you work with someone who other people dislike or thinks that person is an asshole, so I guess that your family and friends should be embarassed of you right?

I'm not sure about the conversation going on in your head, but I'm quite positive I made none of those contentions.

MC has a choice of who he plays/collaborates with. I'm a little embarrassed by his past choices. But I still appreciate his work with PJ, and I'm glad he is in the band--it's not a difficult concept.

You just know he catches shit for it from the other band members. “Hey Matt remember that one time you played with Nickleback.”…laughter ensues.
