look for me-I might be solo and might have an extra.
I will be the dude in the right corner of the lot with the 2011 black acura RDX stuffing my face with a Franklin Giant eggplant parm and drinking sierra nevadas while begging for a hit off your dug out. Or I might have a park lane pizza covered with peppers mushrooms and onions.

And I may have a bunch of jaeger shots in my cooler.

    ITS ON!!!

ok ok...I have been to franklin giant and dont recall thinking it was all that great....but this thread has intrigued me...as a bit of a "foodie" I think I should revisit the grinder.

Lets make a list of nominees for best grinder so I can start making the rounds...
    Gaetanos - Stratford
    Franklin Giant Grinder - Hartford
La Molisana Sausage - Waterbury (btw am I going here for a grinder or for sausage to take home and cook?)
    Aventura's - Waterbury

what else? Copy the list and add to it..
    franklin giant for HOT grinders
    sausage and peppers
    eggplant parm
    chicken parm

    nardellis for cold grinders

park lane pizza for greek style pizza
first and last tavern on maple for clam pies
auggie and rays in East hartford for chili dogs, onion rings and coffee milk shakes

Reading through this thread brings back lots of great alcohol induced memories from the shows on the 90's. Looking forward to the October show, day after my birfday...see you there!

What a small world...I lived in Hamden, on Still Hill Road - across from Sleeping Giant Golf Course & Aunt Chilada's Mex restaurant for 11 years!!!
Been gone since 2006 - now in San Diego. My wife grew up in Hamden - from Alice Peck to Hamden High.
    Great community.
Have a slice of Sergio's seafood pie for me! :)

Born in Hartford, raised in West Hartford.
Moved away for college in the mid 80s.
Came back to work in Stamford in 2011.

I forgot that Connecticut is a state where people wear pink shirts.:lol:
  • I went to UCONN (it's late! It's great! It's Tate! As a sophomore), lived in Windsor for 5 years after where I met my wife, but moved back to Long Island. My first PJ show was The Meadows '98. My in laws still live up there, so up at least a few times a year.

    Do I count?
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
