Some say C.B.C., but I prefer the term D.I.N.K.

It is a tough life, full of sacrifice, hardships, and patience...

  • dunno what CBC stands for....but know what DINCs are, and you bet.....we're in there! :D

i also now refer to myself as child-free rather than child-less, thanks to a former poster here - still miss ya VG! children are wonderful and all, but yea....we are quite happy with our child-free life.

Sometimes, I have to try and suffer and try and suffer just to figure out what I am going to do with my weekends as there are just too many options. :P

Oh, and it means childless by choice.

    oh, okey-doke....dunno why i didn't see that.
i guess i was expecting it to be something negative perhaps...;)
    yea...i like both.

my husband complains that he doesn't have enough time, and i just remind him, imagine if we had children?! then you'd really know what having 'no time' truly means! and you bet...i am quite happy with my weekends, and all my own time - even when i do nothing with it. cherish it in fact. and sure, i realize children bring a lot of joy to their parents, it's not all sacrifice.....but yes, childless by choice. :)

Well, the word "children" starts with a "c", so it seems the logical choice...

You just need the proper motivation of something scary chasing you, like maybe a woman with a family on her mind.

  • Started out the year with a cruise...going to London/Paris in May, now planning a trip to Australia this fall...traveling to New York for Christmas, and probably will visit Yosemite in summer. I don't have any PTO left, but who cares, I don't have any kids!

all you middle class career people should all get together over canapes and semi-expensive wine and discuss how fulfilled you all are in your lives and how silly all us parents are :D;)

this thread reminds me of the big cannon that goes off at 1pm every day at Edinburgh Castle... it too fires blanks.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Hey, get you and your plague of locusts out of my thread. And surely you don't think having kids makes you a real man. Any knucklehead with working genitalia can have a kid, and sadly they do. Doesn't make them good fathers or real men, it means their plumbing works.
