The Atlanta show was pretty good. My bar is set really high so it wasn't one of the best shows I've been to. The band's timing was a tad off, something I've never seen before. Having said that JJ and the boys are incapable of playing a bad show and JJ announced the new record for April 2013.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, JJ Grey must cancel his performances with Blues at the Crossroads from January 31, 2013 - March 16, 2013. JJ's good friend Tinsley Ellis will be taking his place on some of the dates and we strongly encourage you to go out and support this great project and this great bunch of musicians. Son of a... :evil: Will be driving back to Nashville from Wisconsin on the 9/10th to fly to MD and NYC. Will miss the MN show by a day, and be a day late coming back to the Nashville show. Hopefully they will play in Pensacola again really soon.

My wife went to R&R fest 2 years ago to see them while I was stuck working. She had a blast.

Ouch. Ya'll planning on going this year? I'm thinking about either R&R (a two hour set doesn't sound much like a festival set at all), Orlando HoB, or just waiting out for more dates. It's really been too long.

And tickets are really only $5 for R&R? That's crazy cheap!

All day parking is only $5, too! Crazy!

Yeah, I'm not sure if I'll be able to do either show - out of town shows really start to add up. We'll see.

Talking to the owner of Central Square Records today he said they've been trying to get JJ to come do a show there forever now, but his new label/management are being a bunch of dicks about it. So as a consolation I guess, he sent the store a test pressing of "This River " that they're having a drawing for in about an hour. You had to purchase $100 or more to get your name in the drawing (wish they would have done it for every 100, I would have a few more entries :P )

The only thing I bought at Record Store Day yesterday was the store's only copy of THIS RIVER.

No luck, didn't win the test pressing or the 2 passes to Hangout Fest. I saw that the store had a bunch of copies of This River but I passed for now because I was already spending enough money lol. I'll go back and use some of the free credit I've gotten to pick it up next time I'm there.

Love the album (river is incredible) though I laugh at loud every time at - your lady she's shady, running around like a dog in heat - was even funnier live when I saw them a week ago at Irving Plaza - fantastic show - then again that is a given!
