I have a question

What is the most popular concert venue in your country ?
or ..Do you have any favorite concert venues ?

(in Japan, the Budokan is small hall but popular for many rock musicians.)

thanks :)

If I wasn't at Gibson this past October, I would have probably said Alpine Valley. But I was, so it is Gibson! Alpine Valley is close second. This is for Pearl Jam of course.

If we're talking local venues, then I'd have to say WARFIELD!

I'd like to edit my post by adding

    THE MIGHTY GORGE!

I don't know which one is most popular in my country but I love the showbox! The atmosphere is nice and its so easy to get right up to the stage, i was front row there once for an acoustic ben g show and it was amazing. Also they have weird baby dolls in the lights...

Madison Square Garden, there is just no place like it to me

Jones Beach Amphitheater - gets honorable mention being 5 miles from my house, and having a very nice view on summer nights

First off, indoor shows are just better. The Gorge is special for its amazing beauty, but the intensity seems to stay in better when it's inside. And I've seen them at a variety of places, but I can't speak to MSG. Bet that's top notch. But since I know there won't be many that have been there that are on this board, I have to say the best place I've seen them is The Point, in Dublin. Crazy freaking place! Soccer chants between sets. Incredible! Can anyone back me up on this?

The Forum Theatre in Melbourne. Intimate, with plenty of floor space for punters to get their groove on, and lounges for the people with soft feet ;) .

thanks :) everyone. I'm looking forward to reading these tonight.
My dream is to go to the concert of pearl jam in America(or except Japan).
Your opinions are helpful to me:)

    And,
There are too many bootlegs, usually,I can't decide what to get...
so, i sometimes decide by venue or place-name..for example..MSG, Seattle etc
someday, I'd like to go MSG :!:

    It was the Astoria :(

    Good London venues are:

    Scala
    Brixton Academy
    Shepherd's Bush Empire
    The Roundhouse

... and of the large venues The O2
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?
