Brisk you seem sure that AC/DC are playing the Sunday but on their own website they state that they are playing the first night of Download i.e the Friday. They also have a gig on the Sunday in Germany.

AC/DC will play Friday and that Metallica will play Sunday actually.

Okay, but not headlining. Would also now fit in with Metallica playing sunday. There was some cancellation issues so its been switched around i think.

That's great of Slayer. Booking all these show's down the road but they have canceled many many times the Canadian Carnage tour. Show was to be held back in Nov '09, then postponed to Feb, that again got canceled. Now they are booking new show's this summer? I don't get why Megadeth couldn't play without Slayer. :|

im 99.9% positive, im not buying a ticket even if soundgarden announced.. (okay thats probably a lie) but i'd still want to see their full tour and who else is on that day.
  • We all know you'll be there if the rumours of AIC, STP and SG are true. Don't try and hide it!

Any word on when the next batch of bands will be released? I believe what you are saying but I wanna see it in stone before I do buy... expensive tickets.

Ah man!!!! That fucking sucks. Still I guess they still might do some shows later in the year, or even Reading/Leeds.

So what do we reckon the chances are for a STP show in London?!

  • Well that is strange.... really gutted to hear that. Is Metallica still on for Download? Wonder who they will get to headline instead of Soundgarden.

Yeah I've got my fingers crossed for a STP show in London, they were absolutely unreal when I saw them at Brixton.

Depending on what other bands get added tonight to the lineup I may still go Download, on the off chance that Soundgarden are miraculously added I will definitely be going!
