Is 'Ten' really the 11th greatest rock album of all time?

It's a classic, but 11th? It's popular and influential certinally but not to the extent that it's better than Born To Run, Who's Next or Appetite for Destruction.

Aint even the best Pearl Jam record!

also know as fans who never gave anything after vitalogy a chance... imo, ten is classic for sure. You cannot deny the greatness of the songs, but Id say it's my 7th favorite pj album and I don't think I've given it a spin in like 5 years!
Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...
  • Faith Hill made their list. The list is shit. Ten is a great record and certainly in the top five of the 1990s, but when we're talking on an all-time, Dylan, Beatles, kind of level- it makes the top 30 for me- at best.

That list is pretty good...there's a few that shouldn't be on there at all.

Who's Next should definitely be top ten.

Coldplay, while I do enjoy their first two albums, should not be on the list.

    and....
    Ten>nevermind.
"Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."

  • I had no idea 50 Cent's 'Get Rich or Die Trying' was a better album than Pearl Jam's 'Yield'.
  • Thriller isn't rock and roll!

To find I'd known this all along.
  • and The Doors album should be in the top 10 in my opinion!

That is literally the worst albums list I've ever seen. They put an Eminem and Shania Twain album before the "White Album"!?!?!?!

Eminem might be on there twice, but I can't argue with Led Zepp having 6 of their 9 albums on the list.

So true! I agree Ten is not there best record...I really love Riot Act and the self-titled Avocado Cd the best.

And that list is crap. How can Pearl Jam only have one record in the top 200 when shit like Celine Dion, Eminem and Dixie Chicks is on there?

My main issue with this list is the rap albums. Not that there are rap albums on the list, but just the ones they picked and how they sequenced them. Nelly being above Nas, NWA, PE and Jay-Z? come on! And as for Emimen I think The Slim Shady LP is his best. I could see people arguing that Marshell Matthews is better, but The Eminem Show? Fuck that.
