that was a great call.....horrible execution.
I liked the call how could you not when they're not even covering
    the guy

He makes that play it's probably a TD

that was weird..not sure why neither gunner was covered. had to be miscommunication.....you just don't leave them wide open like that.

I just got back from this debacle and I can say I will not be using any more of my season tickets this year. My time is more valuable than the effort they put out. Although talented, this is one of the dumbest/laziest teams in the league. From dropped passes(Brown, Maclin and Jackson's short armed I don't want to get hurt before I get paid Ricky Watter's impression) to stupid penalties(3rd down Babin) to bad decisions(Vick's INT into double coverage and Jackson's effort on the punt return fumble) this team is a mess. I'll still cheer for and hope they have enough time to turn it around but I doubt it.

I'd pay McCoy and Maclin before I'd give Jackson a dime.

    Good night.
    Alright, alright, alright!

Except The Babin penalty was BS he was pushed. Horrible call

I hear that but when you are relying on a punter and he doesn't make that play, it changes the momentum. I guess I'm being more conservative here.

everybody can make a 20 yard pitch and catch in the back yard....

that's all that was. obviously a punter doesn't practice that play much, but still...you gotta make it....or at least make reciever be the goat on the play

Hell he could have just throw the ball straight up in the air instead of at the dudes feet.

I don't see the Birds getting any more than 8 wins this year. Cowboys, pats, giants, jets...I think they lose 3 of those games.

our high priced defensive line and cornerbacks were awful last night. juggler's boy rogers-cromartie was embarrassingly bad (guy in Inquirer called him the worst player on the team) and ashomghua is going down as one of the worst free agents ever in this city.

worst philly free agent signing in the past 30 years? Lance Parrish, Chris Gratton, or Nmandi? too close to call at this moment

jackson and especially maclin have dropped way too many balls this year. maclin missed a wide open crossing pattern in the 3rd that was good for at the very least about 35 yards. and jackson's fumble a fucking disaster.

our punter throws like a girl

4th game they have lost when leading in the 4th quarter

and that would be the first time in this team's history that has happened...with 8 games to play.

coaching/execution--just a horrible game all around.

this team is unbelievably inconsistent and reverted to dumb football again. that falls on coaching.

so much talent on this team. it's being wasted.

if the giants go 3-5 the rest of the way, birds will have to go 6-2 just to tie them. anyone see that happening? :x

the o and d line are killing you guys ... no pressure on cutler whatsoever and vick is getting hit after each throw ...

henery should have made that throw. anderson was wide open....but therein lies the problem peter. you are relying on a guy name chaz henery and colt anderson to make a play that could go a long way to determining how your season plays out. woops.

i would have opted for field position there (especially with how poor the defense was all night). save the gimmicky nonsense for the first half.

at least our fans have finally gotten what they wanted with reid running the ball more

and trading a solid nfl qb for a shitty 3rd corner has worked wonders for us.

last night was not coaching (although of course overall 3-5 record falls on the coach). good players just making too many costly mistakes. maclin drops in 3 of the losses have been disasterous. awful fumble on punt by jackson. punter missing 2 wide open receivers on one play. vick throwing high on an easy 1st down on the last play. offensively so many small mistakes killing this team. defense just sucks and it's soft which is a bad combo.

are you fucking kidding me? the 2 guys were WIDE fucking open. it wasn't a called fake by reid. it was an audible out because i repeat the 2 guys were WIDE FUCKING OPEN. how is that play Andy Reid's fault? ugh i fucking love eagle fans

    .

i thought they could have run a little more early actually. the bears did. worked out perfectly for them.

and at this point, it's safe to say we traded a shitty qb for a shitty corner...and a 2nd round pick. advantage, eagles on that one.

i appreciate your love but i did not mention andy reid's name.

i said they were wide open. but i would have been conservative and kicked it there. even if they are wide open there's a chance you don't make the throw. and then boom--you give the bears good field position in a game where that is the last thing you want to do.

    uncovered...2 guys...uncovered :o

and you insinuated that it was reid's fault (or that is how i read it) when you said 'relying on henry and colt anderson and you would have kicked it away' - you said nothing about how it was the special teams making the call themselves (not sure if it's henry or the upback making the call). either way it was absolutely the right play - just awful execution because our punter throws like a girl.

    frustrating season.

not sure field position mattered much. bears were moving up and down the field at will (except in the red zone)

i would have thrown, and if given the chance next, i would throw again.

chill dude. it's not like reid and april had no idea what was going on. if i were them i would have told henery to kick the fucking thing regardless of what the bears coverage looked like. in my opinion, it was too risky at that stage of the game to attempt something like that...especially with a rookie punter who had never attempted anything like that at this level.

the defense was awful yesterday. just awful. i thought juan's army had turned the corner but apparently i was wrong. when your defense is leaking oil like that, i think field position is the most important thing at that point.

your boy desean jackson played the worst game of his career last night too.

probably the most frustrating season i can remember during reid's tenure.

to me that is exactly why field position mattered most. you're talking about potentially pinning them near their own endzone or giving them the ball around midfield. what field position is it easier to score with?
