Haiti Earthquakes

My stomach is turning a little wondering what we're going to see at sun up. It's really just wait and see mode right now.

Initial quake of 7.0, but they have had 12 ... TWELVE ... aftershocks of 5.0 or greater throughout the night and their housing cannot take that.

I cannot imagine the fear those people must have with zero power and still feeling 5.0+ shocks in the middle of the night.

I don't know if any of you pray or who y'all pray to ... but if you do pray, please say one for these folks.

    Expanded the list, add another 14 quakes between 4.0 - 4.9 ...

    This is really not good considering how those structures built down there aren't earthquake resistant. I hope countries around the world can send much needed help. One of the scariest things I ever felt was a small tremor, there's just not much you can do when the earth beneath you is moving. :shock:

    Yeah, tomorrow is going to be ugly. I also hope it's more than just the US that sends help because this could really be bad news...

    Reports are that the capital, Port-au-Prince (pop: 3 Million people) is levelled.

    Don't think you'll have to worry about that. I know it is the top news story here (UK) and they are already preparing to send out rescue workers and I'm sure many other countries are doing the same thing

    the only light i suppose.

    I didn't even know about this until I woke up and watched the morning news this morning... our governor general is part Haitian so I expect Canada should be sending a good bit of aid, hopefully anyways.
