Pornography and Standing On A Beach were a staple of mine for quite some time. Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me was great. Also Disentegration. That was their last good album. Japanese Whispers, Head On The Door etc.
The moods they brought out in me are unmatched by any other. Such descriptive and visual lyrics.
Love Song was their Jeremy. Good, but played too much.
I still make time to listen to the Cure. I need another copy of the Disintegration live songs CD single!

Remember the US did not embrace the Cure as much or as soon as Europe did. I'm talking radio play. A Forest got minimal US play at best, whereas Jeremy was played once an hour it seems like on every rock station.

I just finished watching "The Crow", never really listened to the Cure before but really liked their song "Burn" which was played in it, it kind of sparked an interest for me into the band now.
I've been listening to the Cure again recently, particularly 'Pornography' (my favourite Cure album), 'Faith', and 'Concert', and the B-sides from 'Standing on a Beach'.
This music takes me back to when I first listened to Pornography as a 13 year old at school. The album still sounds as good now as it did back then.
Anyone else here a fan of The Cure's early stuff?

Disintegration to start with - flawless album and one of the best ever made.
Then there are loads of to check out after Three Imaginary Boys, Wish, Bloodflowers, Self Titled, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss me.
Love the cure! I saw them last time at MSG. and I've never experienced a show like that one. They play old and new songs. Everyone at MSG was dancing. I felt I was back in the 80's. It was Awesome.
One of my favorites is "Fascination Street". They are such a classic band. Hope they bring some more music and tour again.

Absolutely one of the greatest albums ever recorded. I agree- its flawless. Pornography, Faith, Head on the Door are also awesome. I saw them at MSG on the last tour and they are still fantastic in concert (3 1/2 hour show!)

I like how the current line-up is just 4 members and no keyboard player. I saw them at a small club in L.A. a few years back.....3 hour show!
