    Dry with continued above normal temperature -this has been the case here in the Sierra foothills all but one or two days since about June. Add to that enough smoke in the air from control burns to make this place look like L.A. circa 1975. Gag! Cough! Choke! Yuk!

    5" of snow on the ground here in NY, just got my power back about an hour ago. It's pretty awesome to see all of the fall-colored leaves with some white mixed in.

    That sounds incredible!

    I remember that from living in Wisconsin, the early fall snows, the smell too...
    so fresh, cool, mixed with the dried leaves smell

    It's 10 celcius here...the warmest it has been for a few days.

    A couple of nice days in a row are predicted for Toronto...yay!
