Ohhh dear lord. What is excessive heat in Seattle? 100 degrees? We will be rocking the high 100 and some teens soon. It will hit 120 at least once or twice this summer.

Only thing to do when it gets that hot is hide in the shade drinking beer or float down a river drinking beer. And you get used to that ridiculous heat after a fashion.

We're gonna hit 30ish degrees up here in the Great White North this weekend.

    From the National Weather Service:
    * A SLOW MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL STRENGTHEN ACROSS THE
AREA TODAY THEN SLOWLY EXIT TO THE EAST ON SUNDAY. STEADY
RAINFALL IS EXPECTED IN NORTHWEST OHIO WITH PERIODS OF SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS IN NORTHEAST OHIO. WIDESPREAD RAINFALL OF 1.5
TO 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN WILL FALL BY LATE TONIGHT. GIVEN THE
RECENT WET CONDITIONS...FLOODING WILL LIKELY DEVELOP IN SOME
    AREAS.
We're on a hill. We're fine. And, it isn't like we're talking 12 inches of rain or anything. It has rained so much here that we are putting that pile of mulch out that we have in our driveway tomorrow regardless of rain or heat. We're finally all home. (We had to take the mulch when it could be delivered.) The neighbors are probably talking since we've had the mulch there for a few weeks. Sadly, we've been too busy and we have become THOSE people that I'm sure the neighbors talk about.

We had our first dust storm of the year. People blow this so out of proportion. I took the dog out for his walk in the tail end. All was fine.

Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • So not only are we supposed to hit 110 today (yesterday was 107), tonight we're expecting dry lightning and then blowing dust.

"high 80s-90s" for several days in a row. We will break the record of '80+ degree weather for 11 or more days in June' . That's the reason people move here....average temps year round are like 38℉-78℉. Yesterday was 96℉, broke the record of 90. It doesn't get humid, but today we expect 'dry lightning' and rain, but it won't be a 'wetting rain', that just means 'super muggy'.
Next weekend will be in the 90s too.

Last week, near or at 100 degrees every day. Plus a couple rough thunder/lightning storms.
Today was a beautiful 85 and breezy.
