Haha, yeah. And if I am thinking about the right guy, I am pretty sure, Wakamatsu and his son went out to lunch with Zduriencik. Can't fire a guy in front of his son, which is probably why Wakamatsu brought him, haha.

You know the moment a GM publicly gives his manager a vote of confidence, that manager is on his last days with that team. "Vote of confidence" means " I am going to fire you."

And the fucked up thing is, i am not sure Wak needed to be fired. I am more and more beleiving that our problems lie at the ownership level...

    anger and venom???

Welcome to the wonderful world of Milton Bradley!!!

Ill bet you 5 candy bars....

That Milton Bradley doesnt START in 100 games for the Mariners, this year....

For whatever reasons, injury, traded, let go, busted for drug possesion, punching a fan in the mouth, etc. etc.

I will bet you 5 candy bars....Milton Bradley doesnt start 100 games...

I will also bet you he doesnt hit .300
He doesnt hit 15 home runs...
He doesnt drive in more than 70 RBI's........

    Take all the bets...
    And its 20 candy bars..........
    Games: 73
    Avg: .205
    HR's: 8
    RBI's: 29

    Shit.

PM me your home address, Speedy. I am a man of my word.

And, as a side note, after reading this article a few days back I am convinced now more than ever that Paul Allen needs to buy the Seattle Mariners from Hiroshi Yamauchi. Allen would make the Steinbrenners look like poor chumps!

And now i wait for Speedy....

But, the thing is, this doesn't upset us nearly as much as it did Chicago last year - No one ever remotely thought Milton would save our club. So in the end, while yeah, he didn't produce at all, no one is resting the blame of our season on his shoulders. Tanking the 2010 season was a team effort.

Seattle needs to get a few 55 gallon drums of Bret Boone Cream & Clear Tonic. It has the ability to turn an average second baseman into a force of nature.

Jerry manuel was doomed from the start. I actually liked manuel but felt he shouldn't been named manager seeing as how he was part of the previous managers coaching staff.

    Thanks for your service...

    Bob Melvin (2 yrs, 2003-2004)
    Mike Hargrove (2 1/2 yrs, 2005-mid 2007)
    John McLaren (1 yr, mid 2007-mid 2008)
    Jim Riggleman (1/2 yr, 2008)
    Don Wakamatsu (1 1/2 yrs, 2009-mid 2010)
    Daren Brown (1/2 yr, 2010)

Eric Wedge has the helm now and is here to do something that the six of you were unable to do? :?

Keep in mind this is all post our decade-long Sweet Lou era!

To be fair; Grover walked out on us midway through the 2007 season...though some have speculated that he was forced out due to a conflict with Ichiro. And, Riggleman & Brown were only interim managers who were not offered the full-time gig when the next manager was selected. But still, Wedge is our SEVENTH manager since Lou Piniella left. We're clearly still trying to find his replacement. Will that be Wedge, or will Wedge's name be added to that list in a year or two?
