    Haven't we been through this more than once? When will you learn OP that trying to debate the non-existence of GW is redundant? There's no proof either way, and if you refuse to involve scientific sources in your claims, then it makes you look even worse.

    i have a theory!

    man is not responsible for global warming. rather, the polar bears are responsible for the destruction and melting of their own environment with their incessant use of carbon to power their power plants, air conditioners and ocean water heaters for their swimming holes, and all of the planes, trains, snowmobiles, and suvs they use up in their arctic environment. screw them and their decadent, self destructive lifestyle!

    seriously, the only evidence i need to tell me there is something changing in our climate is to look at photos of ice shelves and mountain ice caps from 50 years ago, 20 years ago, 10 years ago, and today. its s pretty compelling case and difficult to refute.

I just don't have time to watch something when it starts out "Jesse Venture and his conspiracy investigators..." and then he talks to some dude in San Fransisco who hands him a secretive list of 3 scientists who will explain everything. I stopped when they were arguing even global warming is even "real." :lol: Literally NOBODY with any credibility argues that... the argument starts with whether or not humans are creating the change or at least partially responsible for the change.
    Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.

    speaking of cut and paste - have you guys tried to understand the science yet!? i would have to say that would be a resounding NO ... i watched the first 5 mins and all they kept saying was people were making money from global warming ... we've been through this before - are you railing against companies that make money on obesity, cancer, and every other thing!? ...

    for sure there are gonna be unscrupulous people who will seek to exploit this issue - that is the nature of your beloved capitalist system you so defend ... but that ultimately doesn't change the fact that global climate change is indeed real and is caused by man ... why do you think you have to goto these illegitimate websites to get your cut and paste jobs!?? ... listen to your own video - follow the money ... who's paying for your op-ed pieces you keep pasting ...

    i watched part of the first part and it brings in the same things regurgitated from other things ... the SCIENCE is sound - go study it ... i implore you because you are just feeding yourself crap ... every single one of these threads that get started always ends up one way - with the OP abandoning it because the substance is weak ... and you've started a bunch of them ... one of the scientists used in your video was paid $10,000 by big oil (Lindzen)

    again for the umpteenth time - i support your grievances against cap and trade - i even posted a video to support that ... and maybe al gore is a fraudster - who the cuss cares!?? ... it doesn't change the fact we are altering the world's climate and it has dire consequences ...

    We can argue the semantics of GW but I do know back in 2004 when I flew over the outer stretches of Greenland I couldn't believe how much of the land/earth I could see from receding snow/ice. That was 2004 now I betcha it's gotten worse since then, either way the earth is RAPIDLY changing and something probably man made is causing and or affecting Global Warming.

    You seriously have to stop looking at the propaganda regarding GW. That's all you're focused on and that's why you don't have firm ground to stand on in a GW debate. Try listening to what Hawking may have to say (who's a SCIENTIST) and then get back to me. Or, if not that, then find scientific data to back up your anti-GW claims. This political, money-making defense you're using doesn't have ANY credibility. It's about SCIENCE, not propaganda.

    i trust people of science and my own eyes. i see the icecaps melting, i see no snow on mountaintops where it was once plentiful. i don't care about al gore, i care about my planet. some on here are content to let it go to shit because they will be dead before it all ends, but that is a terrible attitude to have. what about your kids and grandkids and their kids? shouldn't we be working to preserve this world for all of them? funny how most of these "conservatives" can't be bothered with conserving their own planet and its resourses...

    Can I add that the people shouting the loudest against GW also are standing to make or lose a bucketful of billions depending whether the GW science is heeded or not...

    It's a society and mentality-changing paradigm shift we are about to witness and there will of course be those that benefit from that, and those that won't. Those that won't, will fight the change as long as they possibly can. Those that will benefit can't wait long enough for it to happen, tempting some of them to short-cut. Thus, you have the "controversy" now which is largely political in nature. Embedded is also the problem of presenting complex science so that it will be understood correctly in the public.

    As for right now: One heat-wave does not confirm global warming, neither do a cold-wave negate it. It's always and forever aggregated trend data that counts.

    The only other true "scientist" (PhD) on the video is Richard Lindzen. Here are some interesting things I found out about him:

    He is widely respected, but described as a "contrarian." He is skeptical of some of the computer models used to predict future temperatures, but agrees that warming is occuring. I'm not smart enough to understand all the science, but "Gavin Schmidt (climatologist for NASA) has said that Lindzen agrees with about 90% of what other climate scientists are saying, yet the last 10% is sufficiently different to label him a contrarian."

    He denies that cigarettes cause lung cancer. This exemplifies his "contrarian" label... and where there is emotion involved before reasoning I do not believe anything he has to say 100%.

    "According to Ross Gelbspan in a 1995 article in Harper's Magazine, Lindzen "... charges oil and coal interests $2,500 a day for his consulting services." Again, I'm not going to believe the guy if he is paid by oil/coal interests to have a certain opinion.

    That right there is more than enough info against his credibility as a scientist.
