he had a decent career. nothing great...more of a what could have been.

i wouldn't call him over rated

i would think zito would be more overpaid...just off the top of my head.
Yep... when you think of Wood and Prior going into 2003... and then everything just collapsing I think that just completely messes up the ability to properly assess their careers.

He wasn't bad, but he just never lived up to the expectations after the 20K game and then once he teamed up with Prior things just looked SO good. Ugh!

Speedy continues to kill it with the name changes of this thread.

Tip of the cap to Kerry Wood.

Kerry Wood stat of the day:

His career average of 10.3 strikeouts per 9 innings is 2nd only to Randy Johnson in MLB history.

I guess he really deserves to be called Kid K.

I remember kerrys 20 strikeout game vs the astros. I skipped all my afternoon classes to watch it. Kerry is one of my all time favorite cubs behind ryne sandberg. Thank you Kerry for 12 seasons with the cubs. You were a joy to watch.

Plus, I was in Atlanta to watch you hit the game winning double right in front of me in left center field in game one of the playoffs in '03.

Good luck and best wishes with the rest of your life.

I think to be an announcer you need more time of you actually announcing than dead air, so based on that he's disqualified.

Don't know too much about the polska team but as roma is an average team in the top Italian division. Basically just euro club teams.
