I've never heard any of Pearl Jam's albums. Are they any good? What sort of music do they play? I just come on here and talk about them because you guys are so much fun.

In fact every album I have ever bought is safely stored away in a vaccuum-sealed vault because the covers are so pretty and I'm too scared to open them in case the value (of something that I will never sell) decreases by a few pounds...

Now... you listen to me, and you listen good...

    Come closer...

You go and play that fucker!!! And you play it loud!!!

    NOW!!!

...and don't come back on here until you have finished!

Its a record - either play it or sell it.

I would personally sell it in a second, but if vinyl makes you happy then play it like mad.

Actually, in this case it would be a maroon vinyl. :ugeek:

Well I'm not rushing to open it or sell it. It'll work itself out in due time.

Leave it that way, you've heard the record a million times on CD, and believe me even thou the sound quality is superior, you only will hear more clearer the guy screaming "freee biiird!", so in these though times is better to keep a item like intact just because "you never know" ;)

Speaking of duped subordinates..I would think the sound quality would be reflected throughout the performance and not just the freebird dude screaming..

Either way, I really like that idea of opening a rare bottle of wine with it, maybe with a special someone or a close group of friends for that first listen..in a cabin during a heavy snowstorm would be cool too.

If it's not killing you having it but not being able to play it, inactivity is a good decision. After all, it seems to hold its value.

Records are meant to be played. I have Benaroya Hall-LP and have played it a few different times.

If you want to make a profit then don't open it.

If you want to actually live life then tear that baby open and give it a spin.

I don't understand people who let things like that collect dust. Life if far too short to not indulge.
  • I opened my soldier field when I got it... Just becuase I could. I say open it. It's yours. They wanted you to enjoy it... not put it in a box to save to sell.
